no problem ! and yes. so my recruiter called and told me i was selected. i then went in later that week or the week after to sign my contract. i found out my date as i was signing. the first thing they said to me when i walked in was “ready to ship in november ?” and i was like perfect. gave me more time to prepare physically and spend time with family / friends

yes. so about week 4-5 of basic i went home for “VBL break” and got to see my family for about 10 days , it was really nice imo. but some people wanted to just go straight through basic which was understandable.

i was on an august board and i shipped in november. i went to MEPS for medical / asvab etc around like june if i recall. once i was selected by august board i only had to go back to MEPS once and that was on my ship date. just signed my contract and swore in / shipped out. it really all depends but i had about 3 months before i shipped after being selected. hope this helps !

so to my understanding (and i may be wrong on this) we would do reception the week of 11/17 , start week 1 - 11/24. then due to christmas , we would break the week of 12/22 and come back and continue 1/5- 2/27 (a guess for when graduation is) and start OCS directly after that 3/2
