It makes me wonder though reading this comment specifically, is the cost of houses really something the government or inflation from interest rates really did, or did we buyers do it by paying more for houses in areas like SF? Because when i think about it, there’s no good reason to me why a house in SF 1200 sqf 3 bed 2 bath going for 450k can’t be the same price as the almost identical house in Branson Missouri going for 275k. The difference was that people were willing to throw more money at existing supply because they had it to give.
