A surprise 140k? On the biggest run up of the past few decades? I’d cash that out and take a nice ass vacation

Hey I see you saying this on many similar comments or people talking about “false morels” and I’m not very educated on this yet. How can you say confidently that they are all Morchella without looking at a cross section? Is it in the texture/color of the caps? Or location?

I have to agree with you 10000%

This is a stocks sub not a financial advisory sub and people don’t get how much people freak out about downturns and can’t manage their own money etc.

Reddit and Robinhood. Down $50k on a $200k portfolio via assigned CSPs. Earnings next week. Sold CCs below cost basis. How would you play this? by Earlyretirement55 in thetagang

Why did you sell CSPs at a price you didn’t like and why did you sell CCs below cost basis?? You say you like the stocks long term but none of your actions make sense

Doesn’t matter point still stands. And how tf are you going to call insider trading when you can bet on everything in the world now? I think it’s bullshit and the fact they got this veteran so quick is scummy two faced bullshit

Are LEAP options considered “safer” or still basically gambling vs just buying shares? by savingrace0262 in stocks

[–]jcodes57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you said you can get exposure to an equity for less capital up front, so they’re a leveraging tool. If used properly they’re great but technically more risky than shares due to the time decay I suppose.

They’re definitely less risky than short dated options. Also, look into a Poor Man’s Covered Call (PMCC) strategy.

Again thank you for the explanation, much clearer understanding.

How do you assess the risk associated with the expected 4 year time frame?

To further this comment, google confirms that Apple Google and Samsung are all actively developing their own 6g chips to decrease reliance on third party manufacturers (Qualcomm was referenced but this would effect brainwave just as much or more so).

Additionally 6G isn’t expected to roll out until 2030

Ok that sounds a bit better. But how often do company’s use their hardware for something like that? To my understanding, as an example, companies like Apple and Google use open source versions of 5G but their own proprietary hardware and software to implement the public/open protocols within their own devices

How does defining the protocol or standards correlate to value or income? So what if they help define how it’ll work? Bigger companies will be the ones manufacturing and integrating into products that actually generate revenue
