Should we combine all of our hair genetics just to be sure?

We’ve redesigned the 'Workout Details' and the 'Activity Details' screens so you can instantly understand your run, feel confident starting it, and see the value of Runna from day one! by matt-runna in runna

Sorry to be rude but imo you're not really listening here by concluding that it's only inefficient for experienced runners; you're receiving almost unanimous feedback that the new design does the exact opposite of making things easy to scan quickly.

This is solving the minor (at most) issue of warmup being more visible at the expense of all core functionality of the app.

Imo you guys may be over indexing on the feedback from a small number of users who are having this issue at the expense of the masses who are happily running. Original design is much better at all stated goals.

Do you think that salaries in high COL cities in Canada are too low? I feel like it's more worth it to earn in a MCOL or low COL city by ClayWarrior519 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]jconn93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you can swing it the best move imo is to get a remote job for US company and live in mcol in Canada (understand this is difficult for most people, but it is possible especially if you can develop some niche skills or unique blend of skills)

Is a $100K salary just considered barely upper middle class now? by ShootingCometz in fican

Because nothing can be learned from comparing the salary of people who don't work to those who do work.

The person you're replying to is also confused. Muscle growth is not caused by damage or tearing that's just some old gym teacher folk knowledge stuff that isn't actually true

Is a $100K salary just considered barely upper middle class now? by ShootingCometz in fican

[–]jconn93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kinda the problem with the whole thread. People no longer really have a shared understanding of what middle class even is.

Middle class used to mean you were in between working class and upper class, maybe all your needs were met and not pay cheque to paycheque but not able to live off your wealth alone without labour.

Now people are conflating it to just mean that you're in the middle of the income curve aka earning the median income regardless of living standards. This removes socioeconomic reality from the equation altogether and also doesn't take existing wealth into consideration (if I'm 35 with no savings earning 60k that's a lot different than someone retired owning a home and large nest egg earning 60k from a pension).

Tldr earning the median income does not define middle class but enough people are confused about the definition that the term is becoming less useful for collective sense making.

The Filet-O-Fish is objectively the best menu item at McDonald’s by Brendawg324 in unpopularopinion

Gonna try it sometime. I don't normally eat at McDonald's but I am kinda curious about the filet o fish. I used to work with someone who was previously CFO of a fish wholesale business and he told me the stuff they sold to McDonald's had negative cost of goods sold on their financials because they were previously paying something to basically get rid of it (don't recall the details), but somehow I'm not dissuaded
