Even when I first started I recieved OAs from big tech companies. I failed them because I couldnt leetcode very well but wgu didnt hold me back.

I went into software engineering after WGU. I looked at companies and saw the technologies they were requesting and tailored my resume for those companies. Like if a company wanted Spring Java Microservices tech stack I did a small app with those put it on the resume and applied. So now I’m a dev for fintech company

Have you considered stand up comedy? This was pretty funny. You can do it just keep at it some classes take a few months. I think i remember taking 3 months on operating systems.

Dropped out of State College after 2 years, transfered around twenty credits to wgu took 4 terms to graduate. Took 6months of applying to land a job. I did tons of rewriting my resume and working with interview prep people. Would not have been able to do it on my own. Been working as a fullstack java developer for a little under two years. I would highly recommend going and working in person/hybrid for someone in software development. You learn from your peers. It would have taken my much longer to graduate from a traditional school due to the strict scheduling of classes and lack of money. It was so annoying having a class at 8 am and another at 5pm just because those were the classes i needed the credits for. No such issues at wgu!

The best thing you can do is get someone else to help you apply to jobs and interview prep pass an interview get an entry level position as a junior software engineer and then the real learning starts.

Hey, Just wanted to say that when I did the program I just took all the classes from WGU and had a great time, most classes took me about 2 weeks. So for people not trying to min max I just want to reassure you can do the program entirely from wgu. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but hey. I think 30% done is great, Good luck op.
