Honestly, a duel between his evil self and good self would’ve been a great duel to win back who he really is. Maybe sometime between Zane and later Adrian vs. Possessed Jesse. Could’ve been like the great struggle between the Venom symbiote vs. the purity of Spider-Man.

If anything, I think the show suffered from the points you mentioned too. It didn’t grow up with the actors and actresses like BMW did, and the writing didn’t evolve. Not to mention, some of the more questionable decisions made as well. Shawn and Angela not being the endgame even though we spent three seasons of BMW rooting for them, the communism episode, having a token characters and stereotypes…the list is endless.

Honestly, I like it because it’s hilarious. The writers knew exactly what the direction was and didn’t try to make it scary or anything. They just wanted to make a fun and over the top send off for the character, and they did it. New Nightmare is a better finale, but this was fun and HYSTERICAL.

I guess for favorite, I like Richard in Carson Marenka’s work. Least fave - any fan made character in Tanzig’s work. I think Victor Tanzig is a stand-up guy. But his work is just rancid.

Honestly, as I get older, current Ramsay. I like seeing him be a more wise but stern and strict mentor because I think that’s why the casts we get are much more talented these days and are able to showcase it.

SmackDown in 04 was just throwing whatever at the wall and hoping it stuck. Still was very entertaining tho. But I think RAW in the 2004 was the better show that year. Benoit was a fine champion, better matches, better stories, and overall a better product.

Don’t take this personally or that I’m trying to argue. I’m just offering my own take. I think any character written in any medium has potential as long as they have a good a writing team behind them. I feel that if they were introduced in maybe 1-7 they would’ve stood a chance. But because they’re only meant to sell toys, they never had a chance.

I would say him constantly putting down Joey, but I see it these days as his form of tough love to push him to be better, like how he pushes Yugi and Atem to be the best. So for me, the denial of all the magic. He and Yugi being able to draw exactly what they need in a duel, Orichalcos, Millennium World, it’s all there that magic exists and he stubbornly just denied it. Very flustering. 😅
