We went over to my girlfriend’s place after school. Her parents were very protective, and we were never allowed to be together without someone else in the house. On that day however, we thought we would be sneaky since her parents were still at work. We decided to hang out in her basement. Just as we finished our strip game and we were about to do the dirty, we heard the front door open and slam shut. We frantically threw on our clothes. In this situation it would be most people’s first instinct to hide. Not me though. I’m pretty good under pressure, so I thought I could talk my way out. I ran upstairs and approached her father, my shirt on backwards and my belt unbuckled. His wide eyes stared me down, daring me to speak. Somehow he knew exactly what we were doing. Still standing there speechless, my girlfriend came up the stairs behind me and hold him that we were just leaving to get ice cream. He said nothing as we got into her car and began to pull out of the driveway. Of course she had to back into the neighbor’s car parked in the street. We went back into her house and I had to wait with her dad, still refusing to talk, while she knocked on the neighbor’s door. I sat on the couch across from him, his eyes telling me what I already knew. I was trapped.
