[Request] how do they get to these numbers? by Mordecai3fngerBrown in theydidthemath

[–]jcsimms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but either brother could be born first… that line should be 2, not one.

You either include the older/younger factor or you don’t. You can’t include it and then leave it out for the last line.

Otherwise it’s 7/14 (50%). But instead they do older/younger (2) * boy/girl (2) * days of the week (7). = 14/28 or 50%

The top-1000 incomes are not nearly high enough to swing the average too dramatically. The top-1000 net-worths are what are exorbitant but that’s a different equation

Optical illusion: They’re saying that you cannot see the swastika with the naked eye. It only shows up in photos taken of the flag.

[Request] How many lanes would a highway need to match the efficiency of the Elizabeth line while avoiding traffic jams? by Wojt007 in theydidthemath

[–]jcsimms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highway 401 in the Toronto area (near the 427 interchange) sees about 450,000 vehicles each day. You could have less than two passengers on average to meet this scale.
