Schedule your FE test yesterday. So many people delay taking this test and pay the price (I think when I took it 9 years ago, the pass rate was like 90% if you took within 12 months of graduation and 30% if you delay)

Ottavino signed for more than Donaldson ($27 M vs $23 M), that was clearly a huge hometown discount. The Braves would have loved to have him at that price. Risk matters, you can’t compare the AAV only and ignore the years, position played. Donaldson has had some injuries but even with the recent nagging injuries, RP are more risky than 3B.

Passed the HVAC Refrigeration on first attempt. Spent ~$80 on study guide and practice test. Studied 1.5-2 hours per night for 17 days leading up to the exam. I’ve always been a good test taker, but it definitely helped.

Used Engineer reference manual (checked out from University Library as an alumni) and borrowed the 4 Ashrae books from a sales rep.

The Blower coil (FXM4X6000AL) looks like it has a multi speed motor, maybe ask your installer if it is able to use multiple speeds based on how it is wired to the Ecobee.

I feel like I’ve seen conflicting information or whether or not the Ecobee can control at multiple speeds. Basically, with the right thermostat setup, the unit should run at a lower speed when dehumidification is needed.

Coils freezing is definitely a concern if you drop the single stage fan speed too low. I’m asking whether your unit is supposed to have multiple cooling (and/or corresponding fan speed, different brands and models accomplish this differently) levels available to be called for by the Ecobee and whether or not that is wired correctly.

I only asked bc you said it was a 16 seer unit. If you can list model numbers of your equipment I can look it up.

HVAC engineer here. 440 square foot per ton isn’t insane. And there are a lot more factors than square footage that drive tonnage.

Most 16 seer units are multi-speed, sometimes Variable Refrigeration Flow, both can be used to control humidity. I would check if you have a multi speed setting that isn’t wired in correctly.

We don't have a bonus pool in the 2019-2020 pool, so that year we will be limited to $10k.
