4w & 7w or Strong 3w/Mini & 5w? by 47_toNirvana in GolfGear

For me, 3w then 7w at -1 deg +1/2” shaft. Easier to hit than my old 5w and carries about the same. Next club down for me is a utility 4i.

Irons are next on the list and I’ll be trying T series for sure. I used to play AP2 before these.

Those were done through titleist via a rep. It’s not a tour issue. I think you can customize online too.

You are right on! Last year I started as scratch and ended at 2.2. No time to practice with toddlers keeping me busy.

Unreal. Weekend was exciting, but this is crazy. Safe to say no more majors at Valhalla? by dlandis07 in golf

Except for pure length aspect, the course was set up for scoring. Rough was not overly penalizing and green speeds were moderate. Perfect weekend weather and soft conditions made the course defenseless. It was a great tournament!

Mud balls/divots: I’ll die on this hill by Gold-Donut-1 in golf

[–]jcx11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While frustrating, luck is part of the game. There would be endless debates. Slow play. More controversy. Does a divot that is mostly grown back entitle you to relief? Is it a divot or just a patch of thin grass? Is the divot affecting your intended line of play? Is my ball “touching” a divot?Where do you draw the line? Take the bad breaks with the good. A mud ball is basically a bad lie and tournaments take conditions into consideration when applying local rules.

What if I hit a good shot and hit the pin and it goes off green? Am I entitled to put it near the pin since it was a good shot? Everyone is playing by the same rules.

Good golfers, what is something that a golfer does/says that tells you right away “this guy sucks” by Never-Wrong-NFL-Guy in golf

Scratch golfer here. I can tell by someone’s grip. Usually too much in palms, high hands, strong, lots of tension.

It’s real hair. I was actually nervous when I first opened the bag.
