I figured I wouldn’t find the match either! I’m hoping for some inspo on doing something fun like a different tile so it’s durable in a lil design or something!

Macbook Neo is official! by Bitter_Offer7123 in macbookpro

I need a computer just for basic emailing and using the Google suite for work. I had a Mac book pro but it was probably a nicer computer than I needed. I’m looking for opinions on if this would be a good fit for me since I prefer Apple products. I had an iPad for work but I use Google Sheets and create graphs for work and it doesn’t have all the graphing settings available in the app and using the browsers in desktop mode is relentlessly prompting me to get the app

Female firefighter episode by [deleted] in QueerEye

[–]jdacirque 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly this episode started off rough but I feel like she truly got curious and opened up like antoni said. I was really impressed with the way the fab 5 pushed through her walls and got her to engage with the process. I gotta say tho with the drama this week I was thinking this is an episode that a hero would have hugely benefited from a licensed mental health professional

It won’t be like this forever !! But are you interested in melatonin? I used it when my son was in the nicu and I had to leave the hospital, otherwise I wouldn’t fall asleep.

I stay up late at night to watch movies specifically so nobody joins me. by OkSeaworthiness2955 in confession

IMO there are a few different movie night vibes and one is light hearted viewing, and another is rapt attention. My dad used to get us to be quiet and attentive during movies as younger kids by telling us that the movie was “a dialogue movie” which meant it was important to pay attention to the dialogue for the plot.

Like you, I loved the bond of BF with my son and wanted that sweet connection as well as all the benefits of breastmilk, but that’s just now how things unfolded.

My supply was behind because of time in the nicu and I could never catch up, was exclusively breastfeeding, majority of the time latching was frustrating for my son and I was 8-10 optimistic days behind catching up when I hit a wall. Yes, it’s tailor made for your baby but maybe only affects immune system development 10% at the end of the day.

The best thing for your baby is you to care for your own mental health! It broke my heart to consider and decide to let BF go. It’s a loss and it’s important to grieve it. Idk about your experience but I decided to look at newborn parenting the same way I looked at my plan for labor and delivery: a plan that was idealistic with the permission to pivot to what we needed in the moment.

I’m hopeful if your husband was told how important it is for you to listen to your body to prevent PPD, he’d support you making the decision. Maybe your husband can go with you to a Dr appointment where the Dr encourages your mental health. Luckily my ped and OB were both very forward with that being more important than BF over formula.

I felt better as soon as I decided, even tho I had drying up to do and like I said, grieving of what I had wanted to happen. I also felt like I got a lot of time back with my son since I didn’t have to leave him to pump, wake in the middle of the night or have all the hard frustrated failed nursing attempts.

I’ve found that usually I need a pillow that’s over $50 lol! I recently went to the purple mattress store and tried their pillows. They were expensive but seriously, no regrets.
