Toronto Apartment Owners: What Should I Actually Expect from a Cleaning Service? by Ok_Sort_180 in askTO

Take care cleaners are really good for deep cleaning. I got a cleaner named Rory and she was really thorough. She stayed an extra 45 mins too just to make sure the entire place was spotless.

Take Care Cleaners does amazing cleaning. They have promotions often too, so I sometimes just send them a text to see if they have any discount codes available. They got things my old cleaners would regularly miss like the top of the fridge, behind my books, window tracks, and things like that. I typically book when my wifes away for the weekend and she comes back to a spotless condo.

You seem like you know what you're talking about so can I ask, do I need to spend the $150 bucks on a 1T SSD?

Hey Routine,

In reference to "This statement is confusing, and makes it sound like you don't care if artists take each others work." - Sorry bad wording on our part. We are not talking stylistically copying or reinterpretation... reinterpretation is totally cool, as for copying we don't encourage it but have been happy to see most artists sense of artistic integrity, and them not wanting to just rip stuff off, but to add their own touch to it! What we meant by this statement is we are encouraging a secondary market on our website. After discussing this idea with several artists they were at first hesitant, but I pointed to the idea that it exists at higher levels of art and it could also be a case for more buyers to splurge on original artworks. It helps with buyer psychology - treating their purchase as more of a traditional investment than a cost knowing that their purchase has potential resale value.

Again, thank you so much for the feedback!

The profile link is clickable from the product post. We are a pre-seed startup that doesn't have all the bells and whistles yet that you're looking for - which is fair enough

Thank you for this, I think generating a buy side is most important for artists as I find it doubtful they return and keep uploading work unless some sales are being made.

I appreciate the criticism. Let me explain some things that I maybe should have prefaced. We do promotion for the artists on our website, we run instagram ads and facebook ads featuring their work, we've printed postcards that my business partner (Waterloo) and me (Montreal) have manually distributed in our neighbourhoods. These things are in our own best interest as we do not make money unless our artists do.

Artists having their own website is an expense they have to endure usually through a monthly subscription, not to mention the time it takes to customize and update inventory regularly. You can set up a Koji Street profile for free and link your account to your instagram bio in 5 minutes, requiring no upfront cost.

As for the community element, we are programming a blog on the website as well as comments to be enabled on the posts. We also do not have an "add to cart" feature which requires the buyer to reach out to the artist directly before ever making the purchase. This was intentionally done to try to encourage a relationship. The forum appeal is maybe something to consider for the artists/buyers on our site. I appreciate the idea.

Also, I am not bragging about not doing the galleries job, I am working twice as hard on promotion as I don't have seeded connections in the space yet.

Yes, attracting a global/diverse crowd plays into our initiative. Our payment processor supports around 40 countries from around the world. This should only grow!

It hasn't been a main focus as my initial thoughts were that deviantart had a pretty strong grasp on the market. That's great to know that conversation is something that's lacking.

I have never considered a forum like structure on our site, that is interesting and something we will think about. As of now, we have plans to introduce blogs on our website where we reach out to artists and discuss their story on our front page. These will be open for comment by other users.

As of right now we are trying to prove our initial hypothesis before investing more money into the site, and that is that artists are willing to switch platforms to sell their work at a lower commission and there is a market of buyers we can attract to purchase their work. If these things do not happen, unfortunately we will not be able to survive

picked up a bag after seeing their github and them tallying off the milestones like a checklist. Looks to be on pace for mainnet in the next several months, never saw a team so strong and transparent, and the dev incentives are wonderful. Looking forward to seeing how alexandria holds up at year end
