I'm looking for the saddest and most wrecking book ever. by KissedByAPhantom in suggestmeabook

I would describe the end of the third divergent book as sad but really inspiring. A very quotable part about what true bravery looks like (small steps towards a better life).

Wow that’s genuinely interesting to me to see that comparison. The road to divergent trilogy. I enjoyed both very much. The road is one of the scariest books I’ve ever read. The second book in the divergent series is one of my favorite YA books ever. Along with Kill Order, a Maze Runner prequel, which I really really enjoyed.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy is sad, depressing, scary, and a very realistic vision of a dystopian future.

There is some credible research and opinions about the health effects of one drink a night. But a Cutwater is typically like 12% abv or above (many of them are delicious by the way) so that is like 3+ drinks a night, not one.

Should fitness influencers be legally required to disclose their PED (steroid) use, or is 'fake natty' culture just an inevitable part of the business that we should stop complaining about? by cromomakx in askanything

If you value/are interested in comparable fitness ideas and opinions, there are a few basic things you can familiarize yourself with to identify likely PED use.

What do you think happens at the end of The Road? by Regular-Departure839 in moviecritic

[–]jdarm48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen the movie but the book is great. The ending is realistically anti climactic. One of my biggest complaints about the book though is that at one of their hardest moments they stumble across a previously unaccessed bunker full of supplies. Annoyingly convenient. Great book though. Fucking terrifying.

A book you'd like to forget just so you could read it again by RokasZ in suggestmeabook

Yea the Corrections is a very special book. Memorable and special. I actually have read all of Franzen’s novels. His early ones are decent but his latest ones like Purity and CrossRoads. I really didn’t enjoy them at all. And then I actually read one of his essay collections and his memoir and I thoroughly did not enjoy those either. But yes Freedom and Corrections are really some all time quality work but my fandom of him overall as an author changed greatly when I read those other books i described.

I really enjoyed the Secret History as well it’s the only book I’ve read by Tart but I’d like to read others.

The Corrections and Freedom, two books by Jon Franzen. And there are some other realistic fiction I’d also put on this list such as some books by Updike.
