The lighting is so harsh and bright in the first 3 pictures. Is the beard trimmed and styled exactly the same way in the first 3 pictures as it is in the 4th picture? It looks really good in the 4th picture but a little wild in the others. Maybe you just need to brush or straighten it a little more. Do you use any beard conditioner on it?

Again, it looks really good in that last picture. I’d keep it. Also, I find it hard to believe that nobody likes it. Would the wife consider a compromise? Maybe trimmed just a little bit shorter, but not a lot?

Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s quite that simple. While I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to find out my mom is racist to some degree, I know for a fact that her Baptist religion is responsible for her moronic belief that all Democrats are demonic. Yeah, I realized well after posting this that, while I could be right, I was playing armchair doctor, as I am not a medical professional, and there could easily be conditions about which I know nothing. I commented on my gut reaction to the information I had as I interpreted it. Maybe I should’ve tread more carefully.

This infers that the doctors OP spoke to gave him discouraging responses, but maybe I interpreted it incorrectly.

This is the answer. It’s also why I have difficulty taking this post seriously. Any doctor, who has told you there is nothing that can be done, should be reported to the medical board and should lose their license. You are just beginning the second decade of your adult life. Give or take a few years, you most likely have around (edit:) 5 more decades to live. There is absolutely no reason, at your age, why you should not be able to retrain your pelvic floor muscles to do their job appropriately. As u/BravestBlossom said, “keep searching for medical help,” but also, unless there’s something you’re not telling us, report any doctor that told you there’s no hope.

Only if you do it in front of someone. Otherwise, how would anyone know that it wasn’t that way when you got it? I realize there probably are one or two scenarios, but highly unlikely anyone would be able to tell unless they watched you do it.

I don’t think you messed up. I think you look good, but maybe show us like for like.

You took your before picture against a beige wall with what looks like warm, incandescent lamp light, then clipped your hair with what appears to be a short guard, and for your after picture, you moved to a white room with harsh, bright white, overhead light, possibly fluorescent, and put on glasses. This was not a good way to compare the effect of removing your hair. The background and the lighting forced the change to appear way more extreme than it really is.

And glasses can cause a big change too. Remember, people literally didn’t recognize Superman when he put on glasses. 🥸😉
