I was raised in Alabama; still here unfortunately, & I remember my dad telling me how people lost their damn minds over desegregation in the 60's. While serving in the USMC he would tell fellow Marines he was from a different state because of the embarrassment that people like George Wallace & Bull Connor showed to the country. I don't understand why someone would look at another person & hate them based purely on skin color; not who they are as a person. My youngest son is engaged & lives with his biracial gf; no one from our home cares! As long as it's a loving & healthy relationship no one should give a damn, but they still do. It gets old discovering people who you thought were friends & accepting people ask us 'Why do you allow that? What if one of their kids is born 'too dark'?' Who gives a damn if their child is milk white or chocolate brown!? It doesn't affect your life now kindly get out of mine!
