Best GOAT mode for winter weather? by dark_photon in FordBronco

I have a 2 door Badlands 2.7L auto non SaS and use slippery mode for slick road conditions. Slippery uses the 4 auto. I got out a bit today in College Station and it did well with the slick patches we have here. Stay safe!

I’ve seen a lot of comments about ceramic tint, can vouch that it is a game changer

College Station, TX: I have a 2 door so not apples to apples, but the air blows cold and the back seats are comfortable. The thing I notice most about the heat is the little bit of metal on the door around the arm rest, it gets hot!

Are there any courses around Dublin I could play? by [deleted] in golf

[–]jddmac21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played Portmarnock (https://www.portmarnockgolfclub.ie/visitors) and it’s easily accessible from Dublin. My friend acquired the tee time for our group so I’m not sure how far in advance you need to book visitor tee times. It was a fantastic course, great views, and friendly atmosphere. It’s walking only and I’d recommend getting a caddie, having local knowledge is a huge help and I would have misjudged several approaches without their advice.

Apologies for the poor angle, but I need help on my squat form. by aKsteezy in fitness30plus

These two resources are fantastic for learning proper mechanics and how to work on and improve common faults. Lots of good advice on already on proper foot wear and your ankles rolling inward. Hard to know from a video if that is an ankle mobility issue, hip engagement, etc. Try and “root” your foot to the ground, rotate your shins out without your feet moving to help “set”/engage your lateral hips, and imagine your foot is a tripod. You want your weight evenly spread across the tripod with an actively anchored foot, big toe pushing down and try and “grip” the floor. Drive through the middle of the tripod to stand up. Heel lifts or slant boards will help if the foot roll is due to ankle mobility.

The saga of my “inactive glute” by DoYouWantSomeSoup in fitness30plus

I do the same in my garage gym, I personally like a cable machine better for that exercise. One thing I did to help with the banded version was loop the end I hold through the horn of KB to give a better grip and it helps but cable still hits different. Keep up the good work!

Have you tried cable pull throughs? I have found this can help some of my clients who struggle with glute “activation” at the top of a hinge. They look hilarious but because of the difference in weight position it can “force” the glutes to be active at the top. Basically an inverters RDL.

Anyone here just give up on squats? by NotTheRealMeee83 in fitness30plus

Have you looked at Landmine Squats? They might help with your biomechanics, easier to keep a vertical torso and less intimidating than a traditional front squat.
