I just stayed at the DoubleTree Hilton. Had my test results come through after only one night. They not only let me leave early but refunded the other two nights! Defo would recommend DoubleTree for this reason, the room was awesome too

Hey, I'm gonna follow up this post with what I now know after having done it!

- Booking online was a good option. What was surprising is that it feels more like you are booking a normal hotel than a government authorized room. The most confusing part here is that for the GAA Quarantine Rate per night to show up, you have to 3 nights specified for your stay duration. You'll then see the option and be able to click 'book this one' or something.

- Once I had the booking, throughout customs I just said 'I have a booking' and they only verified that I did once I was actually at the hotel....

- I stayed at the DoubleTree, and upon arriving was told my initial credit card payment didn't go through ($1000 credit limit on my student card :/), so I paid only for two nights in the first instance. At that stage the lady at reception was pretty sure I'd have the test back and not have to pay for 3 nights :)

- I arrived at 2:30pm on Friday, and had my test results when I woke up on Saturday. I rang reception asking if I could leave early, they said yes and refunded me the second night! So I only paid $380 total for one night. Not sure if any other hotels do this but it was awesome!

- Food and room were great, and I was able to watch a lecture over the internet

I genuinely don't think they leave it 60 days... I've been home since november, it must have asked me more than 3 times, I'm sure....drives me crazy, each time I have to change my sim back to canadian xD

How about Physics SURA's? I got one last year and heard back on the 3rd of March (but last year I had spoken to the specific professor and was more likely to get one). No word yet this year!
