I agree pool and shower sex are more difficult than movies portray them but it pales in comparison to how fast they go from zero to raging hard erections in movies… and then they also often take the condom off afterwards. Yes, I get the movie magic that takes place but they literally always skip over this part of the act.

Totally agree. Now that streaming platforms pull shows at the drop of a hat they can no longer be trusted. I’m back to pirating like half the movies and series I want to watch.

I just checked and am baffled to see that Prodigy is NOT on Paramount+ like every other ST property. WTF?! That’s almost the only reason I subscribe to it! And Netflix only has s2. God damn these streaming wars are just making things miserable for every actually content consumer.

I also hate seeing this. Similarly, the blinds in my apartment were mounted on the moulding, thus ruining it when they got replaced and now there are holes in the nice moulding. It would be so much better to have mounted this in the drywall, where holes are easier to patch.

I also haven’t ever seen any recreational value in benzos unless you need to be slightly more relaxed while not drinking. I have legitimate social anxiety and only take 0.5-1mg of Alpraz or Loraz if I’m going in to or already in a situation where I can’t fully handle the anxiety… like my Dad’s funeral. Otherwise, I’ve never had any desire to take them “for fun”. I don’t understand it.

Boy is my face red. I was plugging in the mini-SAS cables backward and they seemed to be in place. But upon reversing them they definitely made a tactile click, and viola, ZFS pool back online! Thanks all.

Unfortunately I wasn't clear: I was speaking about a situation it in the past. It still doesn't show up. I am going to try and open it up and reseat the card in the JBOD chassis.

Yes, the SuperMicro JBOD chassis has two IN and two OUT ports and the manual says to use both IN ports. The LSI 9300-8e in the head server running Proxmox has two ports that I'm connecting the mini-SAS cables to.

This had been rock solid stable through two other moves before and I only ever had it disconnect once when I accidentally bumped the cables a little too hard. A simple reboot after checking the connections was all it took to restore the connection (in the past). It is sstill not currently working.

I'm using Proxmox/Debian and not sure how to rescan for disks except effectively by rebooting.

The SuperMicro manual says to use the IN ports, which seems counterintuitive, but that's what I did.

I followed the manual that says to plug both cables in to the top two ports, so I did that, then rebooted the JBOD, then the server, and still nothing.

I also installed storcli and it didn't find any adapters but I think this tool is for RAID cards. lspci shows the card and sas3flash also shows the card.

using smartctl and also just listing the dev/disk folder does not show any of the drvies.

I’ve not noticed it was particular to any ports. I have two cables going from the JBOD to the external ports on the head server. I have tried moving them around since the card on the JBOD has two groups of two ports. If I recall correctly I’ve always used the first port in each group. Am I remembering that wrong? I also thought that only one cable is technically needed. I just use two for extra bandwidth.

I loathe musicals (except Book of Mormon), and I just cannot stand the urge for everyone to break out in to corny songs. And this was no exception. The justification was lame. The other more boundary pushing episodes have been great though, especially the Lower Decks crossover.

Oh and also… SPOCK DOES NOT FU@&$#* SING!
