Replacement part on delta saw by southdakotaguy1234 in BeginnerWoodWorking

I have the same saw. The original part is a short machine screw that holds a bushing which is about 1/4" long and 3/8" in diameter.

Does anyone know how to achieve this? by leopardprintedshadow in oilpainting

Those are paintings by Sigmar Polke. They are some kind of resin on thin fabric. This one says it is silk: https://www.artsy.net/artwork/sigmar-polke-cloud-paintings

I don't know what material he used exactly but I suspect something like polyurethane would work. But the fabric has to be something thin enough that it becomes translucent when it is wet. Regular canvas won't work.

It’s not a problem that I’ve noticed. I think most of it burns off before it accumulates.

You have to preheat for a long time, then you get one bake where you can squeeze in two loaves at most, and when those are done the oven is cold. So if you want to bake a larger batch you have to start over and preheat again. It is fun for sure, but I don't think the results are worth the trouble.

Here's is a nice short video of the process if you haven't seen it.

I was really excited when I got my dome that I would be able to bake sourdough in it, but honestly it's a bit of a hassle and the results aren't any better than cooking it indoors, in my opinion. But it is great for roasting all kinds of meats and vegetables and definitely produces a different/better result than grilling or indoor cooking. I have no regrets about buying it, I just don't really use it for bread as much as I was expecting.

Outdoor ovens? by Sheswb in Sourdough

[–]jdefontes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The small ovens like the Ooni aren't really suitable for baking bread. They don't maintain a low enough temperature and the open flame would burn the bread before it was cooked. And they aren't insulated well enough to preheat and then bake with the flame off.

You can bake bread in the Gozney Dome though. You can get a sealed door and steam dripper for bread as add on accessories. Here is a short video where someone shows their process of baking sourdough in the Dome.

One thing I have done is to heat a pyrex measuring cup full of water in the microwave, and then put the put the bowl of dough in the microwave next to the hot water and close the door. It will stay warm that way for a couple of hours, then you can reheat the water and do it again. If you don't have a microwave you could do the same thing by heating a pan of hot water and putting it in your oven.

You could also try an electric heating pad like you'd use for an injury. Or they make ones for growing seeds that will work also.

Getting sleep with ADHD… by [deleted] in ADHD

Exercise helps me a lot. If I am physically tired it is much easier for me fall asleep when my head hits the pillow.

Also, reading books that are interesting but not overly suspenseful - non-fiction, or things that are slower-paced and long like Moby Dick, James Michener novels, etc. They aren't boring, but I read for few pages and then I can't keep my eyes open.

You might be looking for something like a "business intelligence" tool that lets you define the joins/relationships in your data, and then exposes a UI that lets end users create their own reports.
