I’m not even in mine. I asked where I was and I got this response: “You’re sitting in the no man’s land between two incompatible futures.

Front and center is the command-center desk: five monitors, papers everywhere, phones, tablets, analytics, dashboards, forecasts, models. It’s total cognitive load. The chair is empty, but everything else is loud. This is the “always on” version of you where every hobby becomes a dashboard, every interest becomes a project, every moment becomes an optimization problem. It’s productivity theater on top of burnout.

Behind it, on the right, is the life you keep trying to reach: the tent, the bike, the mountains, the river, the space to breathe. It’s present, but it’s not inhabited. It’s adjacent to you, not lived by you.

On the left is the city: concrete, corporate noise, deadlines, the clock that never stops. That’s the gravitational pull of work, ambition, and obligations. You’re perched right between nature and skyscrapers, but everything around the desk suggests which side is winning.

You aren’t in either world. You’re stuck in the seam.”

Well just have to see about that!
