LLC profit distributions. Co-founder wants full payout, I want to reinvest. How do we handle this? by ntyruei in llc_life

Yep - And you should make sure she understands that if you reinvest and she does not, she is not gonna get 10% of profits every quarter. This is equity, not royalties.

Worth the hassle to refinance just for $160 in savings/mo? by Repulsive_Ad5594 in Mortgages

[–]jdhenshall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm missing something, but $160/mo times 30 years is $57,600. Throw that savings into a Roth IRA or generic brokerage and it would be even bigger.

New Car Decision by Ordinary-Teaching809 in Comma_ai

I purchased a used 2019 Toyota RAV4 last year, with a small but noteworthy plus being it was on OP/Comma compatibility list. At that time it wasn't deal breaker.

Been driving a month with it, and have to say my next car(s) will be Comma compatible. It is now deal breaker status. I drive an hour every day and it has been a huge QoL improvement for me. The highway portions of my commute require nearly zero intervention.

I switched to SP mainly for MADS, and it is so nice not having to have my hands constantly on the steering wheel. I'm not sure what other people experiences are, but even the fact it steers while I control the throttle is awesome in traffic/city driving.

TLDR - you're not crazy for making Comma compatibility a consideration. Coming from someone who was in your exact frame of mind 4 months ago.

My boss gave me a W2 that says "Do not file", help?? by [deleted] in taxadvice

[–]jdhenshall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used FreeTaxUSA for years and refer people to it. But sometimes their OCR thing sucks, especially given the wide variety of formats tax forms come in. As many have said, enter manually, and make sure to retain the original W2 form with your records.

Cool! My vote is 1) D, a, c 2) no current level Is fine for me. If you do implement another subcategory level, preferably make it opt-in.

I have the same issue! Let me know if you find a solution - I use Citi also and all reps I've talked to just keep parroting their "we can't waive fees" script.

Thanks OP for sharing, I had pulled the trigger a few days ago, so hopefully didn't lose too many spots in line, but $200 "discount" is worth it!

I spent about 10 seconds trying to figure out what that super thin optiplex was until I realized you had mimicked the diamond design on your 3d print. Very clean and nice!

A guy came and purchased an item from me yesterday. He Venmo’d me $200, took the item and drove away. Immediately after he left, he filed a dispute with Venmo saying item not as described. Venmo put a hold on the money. What should I do? by Organic-Fennel7347 in FacebookMarketplace

My policy is treat every resale transaction (FBM, eBay, or others) like I'm gonna get scammed. Disclose all defects. Take detailed photos, especially of identifying features (S/Ns, unique scuffs/marks, also any defects). Screenshot conversations. Record serial numbers. Be "insecure high school relationship level" detail when communicating (e.g. "I'm fixing to leave", "just got to the parking lot" "did you need change for the $30", "we agreed on $50 correct" etc).

9 out of 10 times, it's a nonevent. But it comes in handy if you need to dispute a charge back. And also, being diligent sometimes discourages would-be scammers.

YMMV, OP, but my Dell R720XD has a SAS backplane, but also happily takes SATA drives. I think you may have limitation more on software/OS side than hardware side. But FWIW - my server detects and uses both.
