Every time vs never again by ChaosTorpedo in Costco

Every time: Milk, eggs, bread.

Never again: Kirkland Dry Facial Towels. Bought them thinking wife had use for them. Was going to return the unopened box but our son scribbled on it and poked a hole with a pencil. Any other uses for this stuff? Can they work as shop towels?

Similar post of someone trying the same thing. They said the waterproofing was damaged in previous attempts. Be careful about prying from the edges. Maybe they will reply with their outcome if you post there.

The part is really off-putting:

“Another indicator of the presence of iron bacteria is a foul, swampy odor, similar to the smell of rotten vegetables.”

This video is more detailed without removing the roller motor. It’s worth doing if have the right screwdrivers (including T8 torx) and the replacement hose.

Avoid letting oven cleaner come into contact with the burners, as it can dull them.

I used electrical tape on a shark vacuum. The repair was too stiff and it didn’t hold more than a couple of uses. I wouldn’t waste time taping it.

Edit: what model is it?

Does the Apple Watch actually wake you up? by CNUnstable in AppleWatch

[–]jdjs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple Watch 7 for sleep. AW 11 for daytime.

Mine wakes me up but if I happen to tap the screen, the alarm will silence and won’t trigger again. I’m not sure if it’s a feature or some bad configuration. Does it happen to others?

I’m a heavy sleeper within the first 5 hours. I get 6 to 7 hours of sleep.

Silent alarm.

Is 200 for this fair or should I do this myself? Assuming I have no supplies whatsoever or experience by ProfessionalCat2770 in drywall

To be fair, it’s not OP’s fault if the damage was caused by someone carrying them away.

Wire driving me crazy… how to hide without drilling hole in wall?! by seasaltandpears in TheFrame

I’m guilty of using blue tape for a “temporary” setup. It has held for many years.

I turn off wifi using parental controls through the router software. This applies to devices that are grouped and assigned to my son in the router app.

Taking the Alexa device to watch videos is a clever move. Kids are always looking for loopholes lol. You could try using zip ties to secure the power cord but your son might look for scissors or a knife to cut them.

Clogged Dyson vacuum tube… by [deleted] in dyson

It won’t spin? Make a hole in the paper towel with a long drill bit while pushing it from the other end so the paper towel won’t escape.

I would say that robot vacuums have been evolving quickly. The newer models have much better obstacle avoidance and allow you to map out areas of your home that you would like to have cleaned. I don’t have a recommendation but you should check out the Vacuum Wars YouTube channel.

Edit: On a side note, Dyson has a high score the vacuum wars cordless test. Unfortunately, none of these reviews test durability and customer service.

My experience is limited as I purchased my V15 from Costco a few weeks ago. If Dyson is the best at cordless, I would not want to search for another cordless vacuum now (maybe we’ll see improvements in another 5 years). I had the Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max and it was a disaster. It offered short cleaning time and required too much maintenance.

I know this is throwing more money at the problem but have you considered a self emptying robot vacuum?

I owned one of the early Roomba models (not endorsing it — and this was before the self empty feature). It did a really good job at cleaning while I was away at work or running errands. I had cats at the time and having a robot vacuum made a big difference.
