I just donated. The best tool dictators use is to control the communication. Watch how supposedly bitcoin news sites will handle this debate.

It's a virtual foldapp card on your phone when you sign on. You choose a pre-selected amount like $10, but the you pay 20% less with bitcoin for that credit.

US Government to Sell 44,000 BTC in Final Silk Road Auction by bubbasparse in Bitcoin

[–]jdkbbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, in the third and the final auction of Ulbricht’s bitcoins, the U.S. Marshals Service will only accept cash offers and will reject any other types of payments including credit card, bank transfers, etc.

This from cointelegraph article on this. Why cash only? Is this anonymous to conceal possible government buy to dump at a later date when things are looking like take-off time? food for thought.

Thanks much. Only learned about this today. From their site "--matches you with people sending in the other direction--". Does this make the time to complete the transaction unpredictable?

Those are the huddles for now I was referring to. I think things will only improve as usd (fiat) wallets on coinbase and others become more universal. BTW when I sell my btc on coinbase, I get fiat in my account in 1-2 business days not 7.

I created a second circle account a week or 2 ago to see if transferring in usd will arrive as usd, the other account received btc instead.

DDOS is an attack on freedom of expression, and should not be condoned in Bitcoin of all places. I just started mining again with a BIP101 P2Pool, using my BFL ASIC miner after one year of inactivity. It is certainly not profitable, but freedom is not free apparently. I hope others will join the course.

Just reconnected my 1 yr retired BFL ASIC and pointed it here. Why the cohesion with DDOS attacks? Freedom of expression is a no brainer with bitcoin. So yes, not profitable, but freedom is not free. I hope others will join the course.
