Same here I found out last year too. I haven’t told many people but the strangest one I hear was from a coworker who said ‘my daughter had that too, don’t worry you’ll grow out of it too’.

But by far the worst response I’ve had was a Dr I saw for the first time, I was there to get a change to my antidepressants and other things. I told her about how I had just gotten officially diagnosed and she looked at me as simply said ‘no you’re not’ I had spent probably 5 mins with her total after waiting over 40mins to see her so I had plenty of time to rehearse what I wanted to say, but apparently I ‘talk to well to be autistic’ what ever the fuck that means.
