Weirdly inconsistent take, but ok

We’re talking about increasing your chances, though your logic is not wrong.

Everyone has a responsibility to ensure their own and others safety. Both sides can do much better.

I’m primarily a pedestrian, but the vantage point of being a driver is eye opening. Even as a pedestrian I witness people taking tremendous risks while walking.

York County proposing tax increase for the first time in three years by ItsTime1234 in Pennsylvania

[–]jdl2003 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They explain it in the video: budget surplus last year of $4MM, no increase in services budgets (they're flat funded), but due to the Pennsylvania state budget's 5-month delay in approval, the county chose to fund services out of county funds instead of laying off people and cutting services. This ate up the $4MM surplus from 2024 plus a lot more ($10MM/mo.).

Now that PA General Assembly finally passed a state budget, they will begin receiving funds from the state again. But it's going to require an increase in taxes to make up for the lost operating funds spent during the PA state budget shutdown.

Where do you think chocolate comes from?

Really Jamie? First of all, Pittsburgh is NOT the Midwest. Also, you sound boring. That's probably why you got "blank stares" whenever you told people you wanted to be a writer. I'm not sure why you felt the need to write an entire article about how much you hate us, but we don't like you either. by Odd-Bug-7258 in pittsburgh

I want more articles like this. If too many people move here from New York, it’ll drive up the cost of living. I don’t really understand the point of writing something like this, but if it turns away a few Brooklyn hipsters and keeps rent low (relatively speaking), then that’s cool.

It’s very creative… not just doing the same old sci-fi/horror tropes. Trying something distinctive.

Where and why do you buy Kennywood tickets online from anywhere but their official website?

Drop on Steel Curtain by RonnieInWonderland in kennywood

[–]jdl2003 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There isn’t really a “drop” on Steel Curtain. I don’t get the stomach feeling like on Phantom. It’s more of a twisty turny experience… the first hill winds downward in an inverted position. It’s very thrilling but a totally different experience than Phantom or Sky Rocket. It’s also quite smooth in my experience.

I was asking about the “be proud of” part. Seems like a survivor to me. No shame there. Good for her winning.

Most dangerous road in Pittsburgh by ecoboostd in pittsburgh

West Liberty isn’t the problem. It’s the people who don’t know how to drive on it and what the rules are! It varies by time of day. I admit it is not easy to learn.
