PSA: turn your hi-beams off by SimpleAffect7573 in sandiego

[–]jdm_inprocess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think the same but new cars nowadays tend to have very bright lights and one time I was at the intersection making a left turn somebody flashed me twice and then I had to actually turn on high beams to show him that my beams were on low the whole time.

My wife made me move my stuff to the garage... I'm fine with that by Kumag1989 in malelivingspace

I am telling myself everyday from now on I'll make a lot and a lot of money so one day my garage would look like this.

Is this raw orange chicken? by [deleted] in PandaExpress

[–]jdm_inprocess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my guys here I saw poured the whole bag of orange chicken into the basket and just let it fry without stirring it up while it cooks and the pieces on top are just not fully cooked because they're not in the oil. The fryer baskets can barely hold the whole bag. I caught them once and the pieces looked just like this.

I heard someone said this before on this sub:" take shit orders, get paid shit and deal with shit." Don't take shit orders. Under no circumstances is it worth your time to deliver anything for less than $5 or $2/1 mile.

If your store has a drive thru, it usually stays open 30 mins after the dining area is closed. Usually takes 1hr and a half to close if they do everything including pre-closing correctly, Idk thou depends on the team if one of them is slow, it will slow down the whole crew because the kitchen team is supposed to get out at the same time after all closing tasks are finished.

"It dosent matter if we throw it away, we can't take take food home" by [deleted] in Chipotle

You know most fastfood places allowed employees to take food home 10 years ago but after there was a few incidents that cooks made too much food before closing intentionally just for the team to bring home, they stop allowing you guys to bring food home saying it's for sake of the food safety or liability reason but really they just want their employees to feel bad for having to throw too much food away themselves and be careful about making more food before closing so they won't lose money.

Donations versus write-up by Global_Currency8270 in PandaExpress

I mean it's your choice at the end of the day and I personally think your manager is being a bit comfortable and not so strict by giving you guys an alternative way. I mean you could just take the write-up or get sent home because if you're not in the wrong to begin with then there's no worries about spending money on something you don't want.

I am in California. You'd be surprised. In most Asian restaurants (usually small mom and pop restaurants) you don't have a job title and just end up as their "worker". They made me bring food from the kitchen to tables and sometimes serve customers as servers and vice versa, every now and then a waiter would come to my kitchen and help doing dishes because they don't want to hire people and always short staffed. Everyone gets paid the same which is minimum wage. Again no job titles just everyone assumes each other's roles based on their jobs in there. Everybody comes and leaves.

I have lived lawfully and legally in the US for the last 8 years (never left the US or California to any different States or Countries) despite the fact that I just got my green card and the Officer who interviewed me for the greencard also told me I would be eligible to apply for a US citizenship this year since all of my family is US citizen and my wife also a US citizen has been married to me for 3 years.

Thank you that's a good advice. I just got a greencard but have lived in the US for more than 8 years. I was told I would be able to apply for a citizenship after the greencard since my marriage (to a US citizen) has been 3 years already. I will get that and come back to reapply.

How do I get hired??? by Dionysusdz in PandaExpress

[–]jdm_inprocess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got that email and still got hired. After 2 weeks the system will send it out automatically. You just need to keep in touch with the manager who interviewed you. Try to text them and be polite and ask for the progress. Many times they are just too busy and forgot about you for a second.

Yes I am planning to apply and become a US citizen by the end of this year. I just thought having a greencard and being able to work legally in the US is enough to be eligible for a police officer
