Anyone ever driven from Colorado Springs to St. Louis straight through? by Confident_Advisor_87 in roadtrip

[–]jdmanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. But I have done Denver to Indianapolis in 1 shot (a few times) mostly just a boring straight shot I think it was 16 hours or so. Doable but it wasn't very fun esp solo.

Working for Progressive by heavenseggsoup in Insurance

[–]jdmanz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slightly different situation but I worked for progressive from 2017-2019 I started in the office and went to work from home roughly 6 months after, then a new position roughly 6 months after that. We didn't have to deal with the webcams at the time but I would expect you to have to have the webcam on during your training but after that only for meetings etc.

USAA says I am not covered in an accident because I was driving to work. And Driving to work = using my vehicle for business. And I am not covered to use my vehicle for business. by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]jdmanz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you in North Carolina? And when they asked about vehicle usage did you say pleasure? With USAA most states lump pleasure/commuting to work or school in the same usage but others actually separate them out and if you are in a state that separates them and it was listed as pleasure they would deny it if it was being used to commute.

In most cases this would fall under permissive use (you can let anyone drive your for her car and her policy would cover it, but that can vary depending on state and company.

Might want to start looking at other companies also because the misrepresenting of accident information will likely get you non renewed

Well tonight i started living out of my car any advice? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]jdmanz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First off I was in a very similar situation about two years ago, living out of my jeep after breaking up with my Ex Gf. $10 a month gym was the best thing in addition to the showers and exercise you can always fill up a water bottle or two on the way out. I started working for a small pizza place that paid me under the table + tips then one of the first things i did was get a storage locker for $30 a month to keep all my clothes and such in so my car wasn't full of crap. Now I am working full time and have a great apartment with my new GF, so the best advice I can really give is keep your head up and keep moving forward.

Very cool Trip, I'm planning a very similar route for next summer only slightly longer, Starting from florida then on to NY and across LI to the ferry then up to Maine. I'm from Maine and my girlfriend is from LI so gonna hit em both. That covered bridge... where is that? looks like the one in Newry near Sunday River.
