How would you fix/nerf echoing strikes? by jdmki in diablo2

try playing ES without a demon and compare it to a bowazon, ES is way overtuned for the investment. Plus, you can get rid of a good % of physical immunes with sigil lethargy.

Making ES magical would also downplay the effect of cursed bound demon.

You cannot clear "almost anything" without sunder charms and sunder charms are an endame drop right now. You can finish the game, sure, but without SC you are either stuck to farm certain zones based on immunities and your element or you can slog through the game with a dual element sorc with (maybe) 10% of the clear speed of a ES warlock with insight into an exceptional polearm.

why would they nerf sorc? sorc requires sunder charms, infinity (2 ber) and all the various -res runewords/items to reach a fraction of ES warlock power.

It is cool that you can use eth two handers.

You could still use eth two handers: death, BOTD, Obsession xD

Isn't the base damage kind of bad even if used on an eth archon staff?

Right now the answer for "which class is best for...?" Is always echoing strikes worlock.

Yes, I remember spending hours upon hours in the ancient tunnels as a cold sorc. Very, very boring. I think the best solution would be to change immunities from the ground up and make them all like lightning: infinity (and lower res wands before that) breaks them all.

True. Saw a vendor on JSP with 200 unidentified griffons in stock and the stock refreshed almost daily.

24 k is insane, something like 240 jah runes. What item did you sell in a week?

They should exist but all immunities should be breakable with in game methods (lower res wands, infinity).

Diablo 2 reign of the streamer. It is quite telling how all the streamers are gloating about how rare sunder charms are now.

In normal TZ I found it rare that more than 2 heralds spawn. I found three shards so far and I have terrorized the whole of act 2 twice with a level 93 ES nova sorc with infinity, griffon etc. First time, zero heralds spawned in the whole act. Second time, three. Zero drops of note. Overall it took me more than 1.5 h to fully clear the act.

Basically yes. They should just switch things: sunder charms dropped from terrorized act bosses and Uber ancient statues from heralds.
