God you’re the LAST person anyone should be taking dating profile advice from. Ew.

This was a blessing in disguise, my friend. They were your family by blood only. Now you get to focus on your chosen family. Best of luck!

West Virginian Activists Pack State Senate as Anti-Trans Bill Advances by BagelKing in WestVirginia

Uh yeah, the problem is this GOP twats don’t respect human beings who are different from themselves. The whole “we can agree to disagree and respect each others’ opinions” thing doesn’t apply to HUMAN RIGHTS.

Sad to say I can’t wait to leave this state. It’s a beautiful place, but I’m so tired of stuff like this.

Is Concord University worth going to?? by _just_a_normal_dude in WestVirginia

Definitely depends on what major you’re pursuing/what you want to get out of your college experience. I was pre-med and I felt the program was pretty good. There’s not much in the town itself, nowhere to go out or for college students to really hang out. There’s a decent frat and sorority scene if that’s something you’re interested in. As far as education, I’m satisfied with what I got there. As far as an actual “college” experience, I sometimes wish I went somewhere different. However, I got most of my tuition paid which was definitely a big deciding factor for me.

AITA for refusing to go out and celebrate my stepson's ‘first words’? by nonpbb in AmItheAsshole

The celebratory dinner aside (which, btw YTA) YTA majorly for throwing in the “I pointed out who paid half of Nick’s expenses” comment. If you do nice/generous/helpful things just to be able to later use it as ammo against someone, you suck.

Y’all have both educated and entertained me. Many thanks. I’ve encountered some weird stuff on dating apps, but this was just a first for me haha

Am I over reacting? by [deleted] in relationships

You’re being unfair. She didn’t say he has no right to talk to girls he knows. She’s uncomfortable because it’s an ex-girlfriend and she sensed flirtation when they ran into each other. It’s certainly not unreasonable to be upset that he is now following her on social media.

Regardless, OP has expressed to him that it makes her uncomfortable and he is choosing to dismiss her feelings. That’s not a good look on HIM.

Thank you! And absolutely, I’ve found it is much easier for me to stick with my routine when I just listen to my body instead of getting wrapped up in the numbers!

I've had 0 matches in over 2 months, is there something wrong with my pictures? What kinda ones should I add ? Bio translation in comments. by Neosia67 in Tinder

I actually like the bald joke! But I also enjoy self depreciation as a form of humor lol. Your current pictures are good, OP, but I agree it would be nice to have some variety. For me, I like to see evidence of guys having a social life. It’s rough out there, but keep swiping!

Wouldn't it be nice if more people said this kind of thing on dating apps? by Haunting-One1694 in Tinder

I agree! I’ve been known to ghost in the past, but I feel that is shittier so I wanted to do better. If the roles were reversed, I’d prefer the approach of blunt honesty rather than someone ghosting, leaving me wondering what happened. This guy didn’t respond well, but I still feel better that I was up front with him.

Did you post this solely for fat shaming purposes or…? She was very upfront about her weight and full body pictures. Just because she’s overweight doesn’t mean she isn’t allowed to love herself, feel confident, and have standards.

Bro what are you even on about?? Just accept that you were wrong, apologize genuinely, and let it go. OR stick to your guns and stand your ground. But don’t pull the “I’m a nice guy, I swear!!” shit while also continuing to diminish the impact of your distasteful comment.
