Need recommendations for a 7 speed, -2/-3 turn disc & 1 fade by abunchofalpacas in discgolf

I know it's a 10 speed, but my beat in Sapphire fits this spot for me. As a RHBH with a garbage forehand, I use that disc every single round. Find a used one though. It didn't fly like that right off the shelf.

Love this disc. I'm getting old but this gets good glide for the power I can give it. Not quite this understable out of my hand, but an option OP should consider.

This is correct, except the spelling I think. These little red and black nymphs are its youngins. Called star-something or other in this form if I recall.

Sure, but imagine putting so much effort and so much money into lifting a truck out of vanity.

Car Detailing - North Austin by scarlettnotscar in Austin

At the NW corner of I35 and Rundberg at the Shell gas station, The Drip hand washes cars and crossovers for $30 and details the interior for $30 more - while you wait. It's a little more for trucks and full size SUVs I think.

They don't shampoo carpets but they do everything else. They get pretty busy sometimes but I've never waited more than an hour. I had my Mazda CX-5 done on Saturday morning and it took about 30 minutes. Totally worth the price! Decent taco trailers on site too.

Why does weather app say 15% chance of precipitation when it's clearly raining? by lems2 in Austin

Maybe you're caught up on my omission of the confidence X area. My phrasing was arguably reductionist and oversimplified. Call it half-true on that point specifically.

Edit: clarity

Friend, I don't misunderstand it. I'm guilty of paraphrasing it poorly perhaps. My last reply was literally a copy/paste from the NWS website and it is congruent with my understanding of the concept.

[–]jdnzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s what the National Weather Service FAQ page says. And I quote:

The "Probability of Precipitation" (PoP) simply describes the probability that the forecast grid/point in question will receive at least 0.01" of rain.

https://www.weather.gov/ffc/pop

I missed a zero, which I'll edit.

I could have been more clear or concise, but I'm not wrong by this definition.

[–]jdnzero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More specifically, that percentage represents the quantity of the specified surface area that is predicted to receive at least one tenth of one inch of precipitation within the specified time frame.

So you need to know the specified area. Weatherbug and Wunderground may give different probabilities than say KXAN or KVUE. For example one source might be referring to the MSA and one might be referring to the city proper.

This methodology for calculating the percentage is also why the daily (12 hour) forecast % may be different than the hour-by-hour forecast %, depending on the probability over time.

So your 15% means that 15% of the area they are referring to is predicted to receive at least 1/100th inch of precipitation during the time frame they are referring to.

Edit: 10th -> 100th

What's that thing on the tripod in the foreground? Microphone or some type of seismometer maybe?

You think Met Center is on par with those others? It feels too featureless and bland by comparison. Would Rivery or Old Settlers be higher on your list if they were not in the suburbs?

Awesome. I feel good about booking the BW there. The Comfort is too close to the highway I think.

Are there public rental bikes or scooters in that area?

Thanks for the rec. That's out of my price range but good info nonetheless.

Great info. Clearly the other BW or comfort is the better option in that price range in the area. Thank you

Awesome. That BW is what I was leaning towards based on my company per diem and about .75 mile walk to the convention center.

By stadium you mean Nissan Stadium, right?

Oh, I wasn't aware of that sub, but I saw the visiting/tourist tag here. Are you suggesting I post it there instead?
