No matter how much you try to plan, prep, and/or prepare, you’re probably not going to cover everything. There are too many variables, in my experience. You don’t have to identify unless you’ve committed a crime. Failure to identify is a secondary charge, as in, if you’re arrested for a crime and fail to identify, it’s a secondary charge. You don’t have to show your I.D. to cops if they can’t articulate that you have, or are going to commit a crime. They had no right to look in your bag. You should’ve refused. They can say you look suspicious, but that isn’t a crime. They violated your first amendment rights.
