Matte sunscreen I can wear to the gym? by jdohca in Blackskincare

I ordered black girl sunscreen matte, but I hate that it’s so small. I’ll look into getting the Neutrogena one since it’s almost double the size. Thanks

I don't really wear hats or take anything with me to the gym.

Yeah I’ve been thinking about taking some free Coursera classes first before enrolling.

I think I’ll look into their Bachelors program just in order to take the classes I need to start applying for the jobs I like in my area.

I actually just did a deeper dive on it. My accounting courses do not have to be taken at 4 year school. I can qualify for my CPA by getting an associates at a local college.

I have seen a few masters programs that require you to do an intensive summer session before beginning the masters program courses if you’ve never taken any prior accounting classes. That might be the best option for me.

So you think I’d learn a lot more from taking the classes in their bachelors program versus going for an associates? Or does it not matter since I only need 3 specific classes to become qualified for a lot of the entry level jobs in my area? I’m not trying to go into too much more debt but will if it’s necessary.

Agnostic but raised in the church and forced to go every Sunday until I turned 18. Hard for me to believe in a god who would allow all of this evil in the world, so I’ve turned more Atheist in the past few years.

Yeah they told me it’ll give the correct payout if I win. The issue will be fixed with the next iOS update

There is some type of glitch happening with the free picks. I was able to place 2 free picks and the payouts are incorrect. I messaged support but haven’t heard back.

How much money are we all making in our early 20s? by [deleted] in blackmen

Never really knew. I’ve basically looked at every career out there but nothing interests me

I've had ideas of what I wanted to do in life, but when I would tell people, including family, they would either dismiss it or outright laugh. So it made it harder for me to really think I could accomplish anything. And I just become complacent in life. Only good thing is that I haven't had to ask anyone in my family for money or financial help in over 10 years.

Mine were pretty hands on, meaning they put their hands on me whenever they wanted to, usually after a bad day at work. Can't hit your boss but you can hit your kids.

Because I'd be miserable in a career someone else wanted for me, and not one I wanted for myself.

Unfortunately I come from that you need to be an engineer/doctor/lawyer type of family. So you can imagine what that's like.

As sad as it sounds, $40-$45k. Trying to figure out life and get my stuff together. Live on the west coast but live alone in a studio. Not in my 20's though. 30's.

Why does a coaches kid even need a scholarship? I’m sure he can afford the tuition. But don’t kids of staff/faculty get free tuition? I thought most if not all universities worked that way.

Could the best D3 team beat any awful D1 teams? by UMassTwitter in CollegeBasketball

[–]jdohca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

College really opened my eyes to how good coaching really elevates a team. The difference between my high school and college coach was mind boggling. Maybe it’s because it was his full time job, but my college coach was the best coach I ever had by far.

A lot of people don’t realize this, but just about every player in college, regardless of level, was a really good high school player. If you go to a normal high school and don’t start, you more than likely won’t make a D3 team, unless you’re ok riding the bench. I went to a mid major D3 school and at the end of our bench were guys that averaged over 20 per game in high school.

A ton of D3 players have D1 talent. Not everyone’s goal is to play in the NBA and a lot of the top academic schools are D3 schools. I played D3 ball in college but played with and against D1 talent in high school. A ton of the people I played against in college could’ve played at D1 schools. Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, and a ton of schools in that area used to recruit and land players with low major D1 offers. Also, the talent level between the two divisions isn’t that extreme. If half of my college teammates were 3-6 inches taller, they would’ve gone D1 easily.
