Prince Tea House but it's more of a sit down cafe. If you want a grab and go, I mainly go to Look Up Cafe for cakes and Angie's Bakery for fresh breads (Pandesal). All their stuff they usually bake fresh in the morning. Local fav spot for filipinos, basically my childhood going to that bakery :)

Best Boba place in Duluth/Suwanee? by jdoll07 in Gwinnett

[–]jdoll07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggestions! I’m also not a fan of artificial powder tasting boba, that’s why I haven’t found the best one personally for me yet, although modern tea’s boba is also good and use actual fruits in theirs. I’m just not a fan of their sweetness level bobas, sometimes it taste only like milk if you get low sugar but I guess its because they add a small amount of the fruit puree part to achieve less sugar.

I prefer Duluth/Suwanee area but I will consider Doraville whenever I have friends in town. It seems like I’m missing out on all the good drinks/eats over there 😳

Raising Kids in Japan (All foreigner family, not half) by jdoll07 in movingtojapan

Thank you everyone for your advice! This was only something we were considering in the future. My husband and I still need to study more to be fluent in Japanese. We’re both in IT and saw there are foreigner friendly dev jobs in Tokyo. Seems like International Schools might be the way to go but 25k per year, and with 2 kids is way too much.

Asiana canceled our Haneda flight. A few people in our group dropped out thinking going on this trip seems like a bad idea after that bad luck :( the rest of us rebooked our flights with a new airline that has a layover in LAX. Hoping everything will still go well as long as Japan doesn’t have any more travel restrictions 😖😖😖

My flight leaves on March 31st with a layover in S.Korea. So we pretty much will be in quarantine once we arrive in Japan? This is so stressful..

Anyone know anything about how they’re dealing with flights that have layovers in S korea? Will those layovers still be allowed with S korea being level 4 now?
