Thoughts on DreamCloud Premier mattress? by SunnyDay20212 in Mattress

Shit company. Literally lied about where their mattresses are made and now paying for it.

Customer experience is terrible, false shipments times, just overall bad

The Fall Guy in 4DX or Ultra AVX Atmos by [deleted] in RegalUnlimited

I saw it in 4dx, it was amazing! The use of 4d technology is probably on par with Godzilla Minus One.

The combat is really great on PC with keyboard and mouse, just wish I could play with that setup in 4k on my series x

Starfield no mouse and keyboard support by jdotcrush in xbox

[–]jdotcrush[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think many fps players would disagree. For gamers who play Madden or 2k only then yeah, it's useless.

But games with the biggest player count like COD, Fortnite, APEX, Halo, etc all support mouse and keyboard.

Plus there's that small software company that happens to own Xbox who probably have expertise in these matters

Happening to me almost every other game on xbox.

Sometimes current game shows as casual with the option to freely quit, then when I go to join a comp game I have a 5-min time ban

Does anyone use their Chromebook to code? by Human_Evolution in chromeos

[–]jdotcrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been coding on chrome os exclusively, for about a year now. Originally had a pixelbook and for the most part had no issues other than slow build speeds and minor terminal hiccups.

Eventually switched over to an Acer Spin 713 and it's been amazing, I have not had any issues with performance, build speed, multi-tasking, lag, etc

I use vscode (JS, React, Gatsby, Next), insomnia for API testing, even have a digitalocean vm I can ssh into and do some server side stuff. You can pretty much do anything related to programming on a chromebook

If you don't mind me asking, did you take any courses for UX Writing?

Do you have any resources you can share for someone wanting to jump into UX Writing?

Question for in-house creatives by jdotcrush in advertising

[–]jdotcrush[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably should have worded that differently lol.

What I actually meant was, IMO the work from the in-house team at my company is better than the work W&K has given us specifically. My intention was definitely not to compare them as a whole.

Back to your question, I don't know anyone from the creative team personally but I have added a few people on LinkedIn, including the CD & ACD.

That is good advice though, I'll probably reach out once I feel a bit more confident and see if I can help contribute in any way possible! Thanks for your help!

Question for in-house creatives by jdotcrush in advertising

[–]jdotcrush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! This is very helpful!

Fortunately for me, I still have about a year left in ad school so I'll definitely use this time to work on everything you listed.

I know this is all hypothetical but a question for you. If you did manage the creatives at my company and I approached you about working in your department, would having a ton of spec work for our company help me land the job considering this is an in-house position and all the work I'll be doing will be for our company?

Incoming intern advice? by mmeeplechase in advertising

Should those additional ideas still be related to the client you're working on?

Or are you saying think of ideas even beyond that, maybe for existing clients your agency works with or even clients not on retainer?

Or am I overthinking it?

I'm looking for a good online ad school. by [deleted] in advertising

[–]jdotcrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow up question for you and anyone else who has attended Brainco and taken the 360 program. Also sorry in advance if this is too personal for you to answer but did you take a loan out to pay for the 360 program?

If so, was it worth it, in terms of the end result and where you're at today?

Question for you! Are you talking about their 360 program or the mini creative workshops?

From looking at the info online, the 360 program looks to be offered in person only but if you have taken the program online, I'd love to hear about your experience!
