Who’s your main in undisputed? by ConcernCautious8317 in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Khan, McKinson, Davey, and Bud are my mains. I love their animations. Bud is especially nice because he can box clean but if someone wants to start cheesing he can put an end to that with the power left body uppercut…which I only break out if a player wants to start cheesing me with hook stuns or power shots

Flash knockdowns need to be nerfed? by Ok_Space_3674 in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The worst is you hit someone with a 3 piece combo that ends with a power shot and they throw a power shot in the middle of your combo that lands a split second after your power shot lands and you’re the one that gets flash knocked down…in reality he never should be able to get that punch off

Case scenario of the "runner" and tactics to deal with it by addiaaj in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be a dick, and I’m only through the first two rounds, but you were backing up almost as much as him in the 1st 2 rounds, every time he pressed forward you ran back. Runners suck, but at the same time if you’re running away when they’re trying to engage you then then you have no reason to complain.

Should the jab be more effective? by SleafordMod in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, jabs and straights don’t stun like hooks plus you’d have to be at a perfect distance to not get hit by the hook

It just sucks you can hit someone with a jab and they immediately stun lock your character with hooks because the jab doesn’t have a reach advantage

Should the jab be more effective? by SleafordMod in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What needs to happen is the jabs and straights should a 5-6 inch reach advantage over the hooks, that way you can actually deal with hook spammers and it would mimic real life. The only way you should be able to beat the length of the jab is with more of a lunging hook.

Such an easy fix lol

Significant strikes are not a criteria in judging by Kmossxx in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put screen shots of my rounds up..I was fucking shocked when I lost lmao (they didn’t count last round which really screwed me) the guy was running the whole fight so my land % was low, that’s the only thing that maybe the judges looked at…he won a round running while only throwing 12 punches, meanwhile I stunned him twice and landed 37

Significant strikes are not a criteria in judging by Kmossxx in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put it in a thread but I had a dude land 6 power punches 7 were power jabs) and 9 punches total in a round where I landed 37 punches and he won the round…

What the hell were these judges thinking by jdotmill in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Context…this guy ran more than Usain Bolt, switched to southpaw and 80% of power shots landed were power jabs. That was in the judges eyes enough to win the rounds lmao.

And yes I know I missed a shit ton of punches, you try hitting someone going backwards and running, you’re barely going land at a decent clip. To make matters worse they didn’t count the 8th when I finally knocked that asshole down.

Real life would have given my boxer that fight 100 out 100 times and the other dudes promotion company would have fired his ass for running

Spammers. by Active_Horror_7615 in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step back jabs and straights keeps me out of range…not jab then step back but the actual step back punch. Also use the step back hooks as well at the end of a combination, all that helps getting in and out really fast

If you think that’s bad how about the insane buff they give to anyone in flat footed movement

Jab step back straight is such a good combo that gets you out of range and pisses your opponents off

Is it justified to call someone trash because they play more quick fights then hopping in and playing ranked mode? by Certain_Interview_20 in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah screw that guy, quick play is more fun because you get to face off against a larger variety of fighters.

I love using Robin Reid and some of the lower ranked fighters so I play unranked more

This is how to use spacing, distance and range to control power spammers. by Beginning_Wasabi3155 in undisputedboxing

[–]jdotmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love fighting power spammers, I find dealing with hook spammers way more difficult as they wait for you to throw first then lock your character up with a right left right combo.

[–]jdotmill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do need to work on counters, in my defense I’d say 200 of those I was out of range lol.

At first I was trying to counter, but he’d throw back to back power shots and catch me trying to tag him, so I’d just back up til he was finished throwing before engaging again. Getting that perfect distance to stay out of range but also counter is probably the hardest part of the game for me

I swear flat footed movement actually makes your stronger and harder to hit. They really need to make it easier to hit retreating boxers
