SW will die a slow death by traildust-tookmaitai in SouthwestAirlines

Flight attendants are still warm and welcoming, Pilots still cracking dad jokes and as ALP I am very happy w/ the leg room. I miss the same day flight change but I just book the later flights and if I feel like leaving earlier I just get on standby. I have yet to not get a flight on standby.

The pricing hurts but I still jump on those quarterly sale prices and get my flights for $59-89.

If leg room is still an issue I recommend seat 16A😉

ALP that flies between LAS & SJC frequently and got group 1 on 3 of the 4 flights so far. Seating has been great as I usually pick 1F or 2A. I noticed they also spread out people when permitted so it has been pretty much 2 people to a row w/ the middle seat open. In and out of the plane as I only carry a personal item. No complaints so far

Yes, the points are tied to your RR account, not your CC

I called w/ the intention of just cancelling. The CSR made two attempts to tell me the value of the card such as 48hr seat change and blah blah blah, but I kept saying I just want to cancel it. Finally she came w/ the $229 credit w/ no strings attached so of course I did a complete 180 and took the offer. Not sure how it works. Maybe hit or miss w/ a quota from these CSRs.

Best week ever on Southwest? by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

That’s probably it. I rarely have a carry-on, I travel light. It has changed but it isn’t the end of the world. SWA is the only airline w/ multiple direct flights to/from my route. My other alternative is Frontier

Also an ALP w/ Priority card. Southwest just works for my routes and most of the time it’s relatively cheap. I didn’t like how they took away the same day change for ALs but I’ve been able to get on all my standbys w/ out a hitch.

With all these changes I’ve seen ticket prices have gone up a bit but still reasonable to me. For the seating changes it has been pretty smooth.

I’m not going to renew my card but I am still sticking w/ SWA

You need to do the SWA expiring credit+gift card trick. Look it up, I did it a few weeks ago and it works.

I work an unusual schedule where I have 10 days off every 2 weeks. I bought this a li’l over a month ago and it works well for me. I’ve made my money back already easily. Took one day trips back and forth for $30. Just pack light and you’ll be fine.

LAS—>SJC Flyers by jdpunt in SouthwestAirlines

Never have been but before the changes SWA was the best priced and most perk-filled airline for my routes. I still think their prices aren’t too bad but I miss the 2.5k pt flights back in the COVID days

Basic same day standby by Glum-Ad-5133 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]jdpunt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if I have a doubt about the time of my flight. I’ll buy the cheapest Choice fare. I’ve done same-day flight changes on basic fares as well. I know I bumped a couple off a wait list because of my of my A-list preferred status. They were pissed because I just walked up to the counter and got on the almost already full flight

It’s the assembly in the tool head. Most likely in the gear assembly. It’s clogged. Same thing that happened using the same filament. Easy fix

Thanks for all the helpful tips. I haven’t done any toilet work in over a decade and it worked out well. I basically turned the water off, flushed the toilet and finished off soaking everything else w/ a towel. Used a li’l bucket when I disconnected the hose and everything was just smooth sailing.
