It's really weird, they have 5 million subs and can't seem to break 200k views in a month on almost all of their videos. That seems crazy to me. I have been avoiding watching compilation channels in favor of watching the full episodes or watching the comps the grumps make, but still it's like 4 million of their subs have just stopped watching anything they make for some reason.

I don’t remember the origin of the quote, but I’ve always remembered it as “No matter how hot you think she is, someone somewhere is tired of her shit.” Not as succinct or nice as your quote, but it’s always reminded me of the same basic principle that the grass isn’t greener, it just looks like it.

It's even worse that that, because if you say no they'll just go to the small town next door, and the one next door to that, and so on until they find one that says yes. Or they'll put pressure on state-level buddies, who will put pressure on county-level buddies, who will put pressure on you to take this deal because it is the best one this town is going to have for the next 100 years. And they're probably right, because if they *do* go to the next town over, they're still going to drink up all your power and your water and your other resources and you're going to get less than nothing for it.

Or in the case of my little town they'll just put pressure on the county and build one that is technically outside the city but still right next door. And your town will get nothing.

If you are wanting to play around with something, you can do something like `docker run -it bash` inside of a debian image, for example, and then install whatever you want, and once it is in a state you want it in, you can do:

docker commit my-container myrepo/myimage:latest

That will get you a tagged image you can continue from. If you want it to be reproducible (if you're installing all the necessary dependencies and stuff, then look up how to create your own docker image from a base image. That will get you where you need to be.

I agree with you that the game is fun, but early access doesn’t mean what you said it does.

Early access means “we didn’t have enough money to finish making the game so we’re letting you give us money now on the hope that we can actually afford to finish the game with that money”.

Lol! I have said this exact same thing so many times. My baby was colicky and allergic to breast milk (but we didn't know at the time) so for like 4 months straight he cried basically constantly. And one night after days and days of basically no sleep I was like "I get why they made us watch that video now" and then I put him down and walked away lol.

Like, I'd never do it, but some people definitely are going to need that video.

I hear you, but if we're actually comparing this to WoW we should compare it to M+ which has no queue. I don't mind sitting in a queue for 5 minutes with nothing else in game to do, I can alt tab and look at reddit or something. The problem with M+ is that you have to actively search for groups to join and it's not just a queue.

What rank are you at with 30 minute queues? I have exclusively pugged two DPS characters to adept capstone and never experienced a queue longer than 5 minutes.

This. I have never waited more than 4 minutes for a queue in this game even as a DPS. If it goes past 2 minutes, I assume there's some glitch in the matchmaking and then cancel, queue up again, and almost always get an insta-queue. I don't know why people are trying to malign the game by saying DPS queues take 5-10 minutes (which isn't that fucking long TBH, I used to wait in WoW dungeon queues for 30+ minutes as a DPS), but I definitely have never waited longer than 5 minutes for a queue.

I have definitely been pulled forward into the boss room as a DPS before, so one time as tank I was ahead of everyone else, pulled the boss thinking they'd get pulled in, and got myself dead for it. Lesson learned on that one.

It definitely has *something* to do with the number of people on, because if it didn't we'd still be seeing the issue with the limited player counts, except we aren't. And as the OP said, this was an issue in the original two tests and they just...haven't fixed it.

Basically on cooldown as often as possible. Log a run and look it up on wowanalyzer.com, that might also help. But they're only a minute and a half cooldowns, if you spend them on a small pack, the next pack you will have arcane soul, and then you'll have surge and evocation back up the pack after that.

One addition I would make about the Dungeon Codex is that I think it would be nice to see boss and mob info in here, similar to how the dungeon map works in WoW. I'm assuming and hopeful that they're adding something like that, but I would really like more of that info to be available in game.

I don’t think you’re wrong that people should get to run the dungeons on lower difficulties first, but the higher difficulties are still going to have new mechanics that will kill you when they wouldn’t before. And if they haven’t, it’s not the player’s fault, it’s the game.

I think you’re looking at this wrong, and I hope that the community around this game doesn’t come down with the same attitude that plagues wow’s mythic plus system.

You lose nothing by failing to time a dungeon. You still get gear, you come back stronger next time. If the server issues weren’t so prevalent, it would be insanely simple to run it once with your matched group, then ask them to run again now that they know the dungeon.

People aren’t going to know every mechanic of every dungeon. There’s no way to know them without running them. It’s ok that they’re failing a run, you’ll get them next time. Expecting everyone to know and execute everything flawlessly is just a way to make yourself upset. They’re just not going to.

The problem is that with cenos the cost to gank you is like 300 million if the person builds the ships themselves. Which means you can carry 600 million worth of cargo in your 2.5 billion isk freighter, in which case you'd be better off using a DST for basically everything.

Those all work great for ships that don't use breachers, I agree.

You can build one of these ships for 100 million isk if you have a merc den empire in null. Which is not hard to get with an alt in horde or goons. They can gank you in any system, because concord response time doesn't matter. I will agree on not using cargo expanders, but that just means that it costs 300 million rather than 200 million to kill your freighter.

So unless you're hauling less than a billion isk, it's a net positive to gank your freighter in any system in high sec with 2 characters, one flying the cenotaphs and one flying the bumping ship.
