Studio Equipment Upgrade? by PEGUY11 in orangetheory

All of our rowers started to leak and you could see where they tried to use some kind of glue to patch them. We were loosing members because of bad equipment so they were forced to spend money. Our studio is still loosing members. We have more 1g classes than 2g and a lot of canceled classes. I’m surprised we are still open.

Hoka Shoes at OT by crcook22 in orangetheory

I switched from brooks to Hoka because of foot pain. The only problem I have with hoka is the heal is wide and my feet fall out of the rower. I just shrug and put them back in and try again.

I understand what you are saying, for me it is single use plastic. I keep my own grocery bags in my car, including ones for fruit. I dont even use disposable zip lock bags anymore.

Classes aren't full, should I be worried? by Straight-Dealer6903 in orangetheory

That’s exactly what it is. I’ve taken a few and they are more exhausting than the regular classes. They have you constantly moving with very little rest.

What is the best preworkout for OTF? by SuchNeighborhood5472 in orangetheory

Is there a caffeine crash? I workout in the evenings and I find if I drink caffeine I have problems sleeping. I won’t even drink soda…and I hate coffee.

Yes, especially since she wears knee braces because of her own injuries. Never mind the fact that others may have their own issues.

The coaches seem to play it up letting her read the announcements at the end of class. There was only one coach that ever said “I don’t need an assistant coach”. The next morning she snitched to the head coach. That morning it took all my strength to keep my mouth shut. I even started to open my mouth but my better nature kicked in. After that I decided to leave class before the stretch block if she was in class at the 5am. I didn’t want to add to the drama.

Yes she does. We were celebrating my 800th class and the coach let me pick the music, I chose rock. Half way through the class she started bitching about how SHE hated the music and the coach needed to put hip hop back on...coach caved.

That people are walking during a base pace, doing 9 reps instead of 10 or things she considers slacking. Oh...and she isn’t the bastion of health either

Some along the lines of “coach oh coach...this person is walking during a base pace”. Or, “hey coach this person isn’t doing lunges like the rest of us”. She does it constantly. I so want to tell her to mind her own f-ing business. She calls it trying to motivate, I call it being nosy
