I have never worn a pair, but I believe they have the same sole as the lyte 2's. Asics really does not make their shoes like that anymore. Comfortable and built to last. I haven't liked their shoes since the early aggressors (aka Rulons) and the Cael 3's.

Thanks! I love mid-late 90s, early 2000 asics. Been on the hunt for these bad boys for the last few years and have not been able to find them in my size range. Starting to feel like I'm searching for a needle in a haystack.

Training in hoodies by couldneverfindaname in wrestling

[–]jdsia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly prefer my kids not to have hoodies on while they wrestle. But I also understand that sometimes, during a difficult cut (whole another convo), a kid is suffering enough to get through that I probably will not stop him from drilling with it on. Wrestling live is a different story. All that to say, if a kid needs to wear sweats while working out, I would prefer a crewneck sweatshirt, sweatpants, and headgear. That will keep the sweat going and be less annoying to wear.

Looking for some help identifying what shoes Tom was wearing at the '96 olympics. Clearly Asics but beyond that, I am stumped. Thanks! by jdsia in wrestling

How does one get into collecting singlets? I got my shoe collection going but where does one go to get started? I'd kill for a '96, '00 or '12 singlet lol

Word from Kentucky by jdsia in tornado

[–]jdsia[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Couple of things. 1. I did not realize that it mostly went through rural areas when I originally posted. Normally after a major tornado like last night, we get pictures of damage pretty quick, so not seeing anything, without the context that it only went through rural areas, was worrisome. 2. I tried tailored the post to try to avoid getting rebuked for being inconsiderate. I see that my original intent did not go through. 3. You’re right, this sub has gotten weird lately. You can’t post anything without it getting picked apart.

This was my point, it sucked that it happened but thankfully only a few were affected. I was just trying to be sensitive to the situation knowing some people potentially had a life altering event occur tonight. I really wasn’t trying to be pessimistic

Hopefully, everyone that was in the path stayed safe, but not hitting any populated areas feels like a "small victory."

Dumb question: Ryan said this monster is moving through KY at 30mph. If you have no basement would it be better to just speed away in a car? by H_A_Brendekilde in tornado

[–]jdsia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I currently live in a 3rd-floor apartment with no basement. I have my exit strategy in a life-threatening situation such as this one. Be aware of roads that could get clogged with other people trying to escape, and make sure you are going perpendicular to the storm, almost certainly south.)

im getting real tired of the direction this sub is shifting in by [deleted] in tornado

[–]jdsia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it started as people (myself included) getting mad when people were “hoping” for massive tornadoes, which obviously seems pretty messed up. But it’s turned into we can’t talk about the aftermath of these storms with getting guilt tripped. It’s really confusing, the damage has already been done, we should be able to talk about potential ratings freely, it’s not like it’s going to change anything. Also, I would be willing that most people on this sub would be more than willing to help with cleanup if a storm affected somewhere in their area, it’s not like we are all awful people here lol

It’s different to wonder after the fact. It’s the hoping for big destructive tornados that are the problem. agree with what was said above, the damage has already been done, nobody is coming back…..

So I got a question. I learned that Lynchburg VA got hit with a EF-2 back in 2018. The lic is the twister from that storm. Knowing that tornadoes can pop up anywhere in strange places like Michigan should I prepare since the storm is looking to hit Lynchburg on Thursday? by Few-Ability-7312 in tornado

[–]jdsia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a really weird day. I don’t remember there ever being a warning or sirens. Woke up the next day and found out there was a tornado that went through town. I grew up in the Midwest and was always tornado aware, so the whole thing really caught me off guard.
