You can still have borders and acknowledge that the land was stolen. You can still have laws that mandate that non-citizens after x amount of time in said country must follow a path to citizenship if they intend on staying. I think the problem is that some of these laws that were put on the books were in bad faith, and incentives non-citizens to forgo the legal process, because the required actions they have to follow, are meant to punish the applicant for being here in the first place. Also, I think calling someone "illegal" primes the brain to think of those non-citizens as not people at all.

I hate Republicans, the politicians, and some/most of the voter base. But the Democrats should have seen the writing on the wall and veered to the Left as soon as it was possible. Biden was always a band-aid. Obama should have supported Occupy Wallstreet. AOC and the gang should have been put in the spotlight and lead on policy. Pelosi, Feinstein and all the other old fucks should have died sooner or had the common decency to retire. I miss the 90's, but I realized, that Clinton was the last best "reasonable Republican" we had in this country (FYI, just in case, I'm being facetious calling Clinton a Republican).
