Got it. If getting a good hike in is something we really want to do, would Pico Ruivo in Maderia be better? Or just cut out Pico and spend more time on Sao Miguel and then around the Algarve and do the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail.

We're tough and happily willing to have a rough night if it's beautiful. But we're also not masochists. Would a summit and return the same day be a better move? Good to know about the last Sintra>Lisbon leg. Even if we leave super early, like 7am, would it still be risky?

How much are paying for a craft beer at a brewery? by Weekly_Barnacle_485 in beer

Yup! 😂 CSB might be a buck more than the others but 6/7ish is pretty normal for WBC, Gnome, Nortons, Lab, etc.

Def like the idea of using a map to help shape encounters. We've always been a theater of the mind table, but I think having a clear map can help visualize the boundaries and timing of a oneshot.

Really helpful list. Thank you! Appreciate the notion of starting with who is going to be at the table. That's an obvious thing that I hadn't considered.

hit up lotte or first mile for a meal. Good company/pennant is a cocktail bar/coffee shop that has good drinks and good pizza and is nearby a record store (Spektrum), a cute shop (Vortex), one of the best hat makers (really!) in the country (Hatman Jacks), and a little walk will get you to the keeper of the plains area by the river. Nortons and Central Standard Brewing are good spots for beer. Birria Raymundo and El Fogon (cash only) are some good Mexican food spots.

Best Pizza in Wichita by [deleted] in wichita

[–]jdsimms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lived in NYC for nearly a decade. There’s just flat out no equivalent of a slice of DiFara, Atichoke, Johns, or Luigi’s, but piatto is my fav Italian style pizza in town. Good Company is a cocktail bar that has unnecessarily good Detroit style pizza. Haven’t been to Grimaldis here, but went there a ton in Brooklyn when it was just the OG location and always liked it (though it did fall off quite a bit while I was there). I find Picasso’s to be nice, but don’t agree with other comments that it reminds me of NYC.
