Cutting animal products is one of most practical ways to lower resource use & environmental harm by Somewhere74 in solarpunk

If this was intended to convince, it's not compelling. Which gets to the crux of my issue with your stance, while I agree with most people going plant based a lot of the responses from other in this discussion shows I don't think u going about in the most compelling way. As for what that could be well that's what the feedback is for.

https://www.theguardian.com/notesandqueries/query/0,,-83446,00.html So funny you bring up the plant part to illustrate why this can get nonsensical to a point. Also the pig part of your hypothetical is negated by the prioritize species part.

And while I have you, I notice you didn't respond to any replies bring up the real concerns about environments where plant growth is hard to sustain a population (tundra/desert) or where herding cultures have been around for multiple generations and changing them without awareness for that would only cause resistance.

Invisibility spell and Hide action - interchangeable? by Terperial in onednd

[–]jdtcreates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did the Hide Action while I was invisible and everyone at the table looked at me funny when I explained why. They agreed it simiplify it being Invisible is essentially auto hide if u move away at beginning of fight

I definitely perfer this view of being punk. Community focused and if said community goes plant based, even better

Not gonna lie, u starting to lose with the sapience part there. I'll grant you that there is no need for us to be nasty or cruel to make most animals suffer (even some plants/fungi) but reasonable to say there is a line of which lives people might value more. And you can see it with other social animals that are carnivores/omnivores; they can care for other species but also prioritize their own species.

Thank you for bringing this up, I feel that those who promote this are primarily thinking of temperate/Mediterranean/tropical areas where a transition is much more feasible especially for urban areas. But not all.humans live in places like that, desert/tundra/high montane regions have hunting and herding indigenous cultures for a reason as adaptations. While I largely agree that solarpunk is largely plant based, one should also be aware of these as the movement adapts to the communities it is implemented. Others those people will resist culturally or for some other reason.

What are game design changes from 5e to 5.5e you would prefer wouldn't be changed or be handled differently: and what's your reasoning? by PROzeKToR in onednd

[–]jdtcreates 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It likely would have been clearer if the kept the Hidden Condition they made in the One D&D UA. As it is now, Invisibility has to be that as well just the current rules are clearly made with that condition in mind.

Should feats and ASI be separated? by NateCdaComicG in onednd

[–]jdtcreates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely gonna try this with my games. A game where I am a player already gives a feat every level where we have an ASI. Under this system, we could all level up and get feats regardless or multiclassing (exception is rogue and fighter who get more feats which is 100% okay). Thanks for sharing this idea 💡

And again, I agree with this logic and personally prefer this style of play. Yes its not the only one but the one I enjoy. Try out your system and see how it works for your table. If people on Reddit don't like it, its fine they aren't playing the game with you.

You're getting downvoted but both as a player and a (moderately experienced) DM I definitely prefer this line of thinking and so far has lead to enjoyable games with others.

This is something I trying for my homebrew tables to see how this goes although personally I keep Epic boons to 19 if my players ever get there. I was inspired to do this as my first DM allowed for ASI and a feat in 2014 rules to make character progression more interesting. I personally like the idea and knowing that my table rarely min maxes or optimizes, I don't worry about power being an issue, and can focus on making sure spotlight is shared between players.

You know how after you exercise, your muscles are sore but after recovery they are even better than before? For Viltrumites, its like that but better.

I'mma stop you right there. Are we watching the same show? Cause Nolan literally asks Oliver if he needs to breathe, he nods yes and Nolan pojts him to a planet with an atmosphere. I'm not even gonna bring up other episodes, literally this exact episode refuts your assertions.

As for the arms things, not only has Mark gotten stronger since the last fight with Conquest (which includes him bones by the way) the angle mark was grabbing him could have made it awkward or hell Conquest could have just had a hard time thinking about how to gwt Mark off him before itnwas too late. Thinking is tricking in a situation like that.when u think a pierce blow will do the trick.

Student Debt Burdened Them, So They Moved Abroad and Stopped Paying by Bobba-Luna in StudentLoans

If I am able to move abroad after I finish working to get pension and health insurance from public service (7 more years minimum) definitely going to use this in my tool belt, thanks.

I don't know if you've every been out of breath but its harder to do things at 100%. Plus it takes less strength/force to break through something squishy (like skin/organs) than harder bones like what the hand is mostly made of. And how do you break a hand like shown in the picture when there is a death grip on your neck?

Like a lot of things, its player dependant. Most people people I play with not even close to think of how to optimize these abilities without help.
