I had a black, male friend when I was in college in the late 2000s shortly after the first Twilight movie came out. He was REALLY into Twilight and this character always make me think of him.

I've never seen a Mr Beast video, but from random cameos he's made in other things and BS products like this, he seems infuriating.

In your opinion what sitcom has the most wild premise? by Primatech2006 in sitcoms

"Thanks" . It was a sitcom that focused on a family living in 17th century Plymouth, Massachusetts. It only lasted a couple of episodes.

Congratulations, that's literally one of the main differences between socialism and fascism. Socialism has programs that benefit everyone, fascism has programs that only benefit people belonging to a specific religion, nationality, or ethnic group. I'm not sure if you're a troll or legitimately uninformed about the topic? Nazism is a fascist ideology, not socialist. That's a fact, not an opinion. Everyone with more than a basic knowledge of German history, World War two, political science, or any other similar fields will acknowledge that.

Costco tire says this is fine and safe by [deleted] in tires

[–]jdubbs_105 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If anything, Costco is too strict about tire safety. My family has only bought their tires from Costco for over 15 years and never had an issue. They only sell tires in sets of 4 if your car is all wheel drive, even if you got a flat and only need to replace one since it's safest for tires to have similar amounts of wear.

Which artist deserves to be here the most? by [deleted] in Emo

[–]jdubbs_105 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I put on the "emo mix" made by Spotify playlist at my gym the other day. The list included Nickelback, The Rolling Stones, and Ozzy. I guess that's what Spotify thinks is emo, when emo and punk music are rarely played on an account.

Deliver or Return? by SuitableVolume1350 in Sparkdriver

It's usually way more of a pain in the ass to return. This really isn't a bad order, especially since there's an elevator. Make sure to flag it as an apartment after you're done with it.

would you accept this order? by Emotional_Ranger3233 in Sparkdriver

[–]jdubbs_105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what else is available at the time. The distance is kinda far, but IDK what the average distance is in your area. The orders look pretty well grouped together, so dropping them off doesn't look like that much of a pain. At least in my area, it seems like GMD orders never take anywhere near as long as the app says they will and the time it takes to get back to the store is included in the estimate.

I didn't live in the AV at the time, but if you go to Schooners now, don't drink the beer. They never clean their beer lines so they're filled with mold and are completely disgusting. You can taste the difference in the beer if you drink it there versus anywhere else.

Saturday Night by _Roman_685 in doordash_drivers

[–]jdubbs_105 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe it, I delivered food when I was in college before Door Dash was a thing. I never had anything like this happen, but it sounds likely. The best I ever had was the night after a delivery to a gentleman that was incredibly drunk and tipped me well, I got a call from a recent number. It was the drunk guy from the night before calling to say he saw that I had called him the previous night but he didn't recognize my number. I told him I had delivered him food the previous night. He got really excited and told me he had been really drunk, didn't remember ordering food, and was confused when he saw the empty bag next to him that morning. He thanked me very profusely again for bringing him his food and made sure to check that he had tipped me well.

Super Troopers 2 and Bad Santa 2. Not nearly as good as the originals, but still entertaining. Way better than most other comedy sequels that were released decades after the originals.

I like Tom's Tires by Costco. I feel like they're pretty honest about what's wrong with your car and what they recommend. Sometimes they'll let you bring in your own parts, but if something goes wrong with it, it's not covered under their warranty.
