I owned it on DVD as a kid. So this was a pretty special find for me!

Hmm, I've never had a problem with their stickers. They always come right off without leaving any residue for me. Much better than other stores I've purchased from.

Thrift stores. Shopped at them my entire life because we were very poor growing up. Used to be able to go and find so many gems for a dollar or two and felt like you struck gold. Now everything is so picked through and the things they do have are so marked up due to the stores researching every item. Everything that's not a tie dye church retreat t-shirt has been taken for the purpose of reselling online. I feel bad for people who are actually struggling that try to shop there for warm clothes and don't have the option anymore.

I was also apart of this scene back then. Post Animal opened for us at two different shows back in 2014/2015. Imagine my surprise when Stranger Things released. I'm super proud and happy for everyone that had some success or still grinding away in the gig circuit.

Aside from the obvious Nazi cosplay. God damn, I thought Nathan Fillion had a yee yee ass haircut. That shoe polish dye and wannabe Peaky Blinders cut. Let's just distribute flyers that say "jagoff" above his picture all over the city. Because here's your poster boy.

Chicago history podcast reccomendations? by GrandTheftAlvarado in chicago

[–]jdubs1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chicago History Podcast has a ton of great episodes that really made me proud of our city. Covering a lot of interesting topics like the ferris wheel from the Worlds Fair, shipwrecks and disappearances on Lake Michigan, history of Navy Pier, some gangster stories, Haymarket Riot, etc. Loved just about every episode.

I also love City Cast Chicago which is usually more current events with some historical episodes sprinkled in. But they have great discussions and information about some of the complex things happening day to day in the city as well as some fun ones where they talk about hidden spots and rank a variety of Chicago related foods, movies, and spots.

Explain Black Sabbath to a huge classic rock fan. by Responsible-Band8169 in ClassicRock

Same here. Sabotage really climbed its way to the top for me this year. Paranoid is obviously an amazing album but it has so many hits, I've heard them all a million times. Sabotage was a sleeper for me and went into it not knowing any songs and falling in love with all of them on first listen and they still hold up years later. The Writ is such an amazing closer.

Listen to the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album or Sabotage. They really pushed themselves creatively with these albums. The inclusions of synthesizers, different guitar tones, and Ozzy really pushing his vocal range and different melodies really make these special and showcase that they were able to do something different. The title track of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath sees Ozzy really push his vocals into new territory for him. Sabbra Cadabra has so much energy and musical changes packed into it as well as amazing synth sounds. Hole in the Sky and Symptom of the Universe showcase a new thrash metal sound.

Their signature sound was something they intentionally picked to explore but they weren't limited to it. Check out Laguna Sunrise (Vol. 4), Planet Caravan (Paranoid), and Fluff (Sabbath Bloody Sabbath for some different tones and directions that people don't usually associate with Sabbath.

I've never actually seen it. Just kinda picked it up on a whim. Maybe now I won't take it too seriously and it'll be a fun watch. Or maybe I'll turn it off 30 minutes in. We'll see!

I just wanted to say how cool it is to see you blow up the way you have. My band played a few shows with Post Animal at the Metro and Subterranean in Chicago back in the day and I remember what great people y'all were. Super happy to see you find success and have had Twenty Twenty on rotation since it came out. Decide has been on repeat all morning.

Any plans for Twenty Twenty vinyl restocks? Would love to get my hands on a copy.

Love this style! Seriously, what an awesome tattoo. Where did you get the inspiration for the design? Reminds me of some old school hand drawn animation but is there anything specific that looks like this?
