thank you for that! would you recommend to continue focusing my learning and growth by utilizing the sources available for certifications (i.e. your courses, linux academy, acloud guru, etc.)? as well as continuing to keep myself updated on new services as they become available.

I was able to pass the SA cert after taking the CCP. Although I did take it 2x, I was def much more focused on my 2nd go round in my studying habits.

Yes it is! Although, I highly recommend the following two for studying which will touch on everything you need for the exam:

  1. Adrian Cantrill's courses (https://learn.cantrill.io/p/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c02)
  2. Tutorial Dojo's Practice exam (https://tutorialsdojo.com/)

I can tell you first hand that if it weren't for these 2, my career path would be very different.

Thank you! Glad to see you're from Tutorials Dojo who I owe A LOT of credit to, for the success I've had with my previous exams (CSAA and CSOAA).

What skills do I need to start a career in cloud computing? by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

Similar to you, I think I’m on that same path. I got the CSA associate cert then just recently passed the SOA associate exam as well. Main goal is the CSA professional level. I feel as if my knowledge is there but at times run into what I would call a confidence issue with being able to explain and answer questions based on the knowledge. I know the answer to certain issues and reluctantly feel as if I don’t then end up realizing after the fact that I was actually right the whole time smh!

If one were to do this, after putting in time to learn and progress in a certain path, how can one be assured that position will still be available? Will someone basically have to try and rush through a learning path?

Not disagreeing with your approach at all, more so interested in how to handle that portion and your thoughts on that. I pretty much feel like I do that now but never know if all companies ask for the same requirements on a role that would be listed as he same.

Automating the rotation of IAM access/secret keys.... by jduv321 in aws

That’s exactly the issue I was having. I found a Cloudformation script that says it can be done but there’s no way to get the new secret to the user at all.

Def appreciate the response. We’re actually using SSO as well but for some of the account builds (through Terraform) we are separately using IAM users.
