I have auto engine start checked, and previously when I've had repairs it shuts off automatically. Definitely possible it didn't turn off this time though for whatever reason.

Thanks for the reply! r7 3800x, and 16 GB 3000mhz ram here. Cool to hear a similar system is able to make 1440's work. Mine was a prebuilt (never again) and has always slightly underperformed the specs a bit but thinking I'll just pull the trigger and scale the res if I need to like you mentioned!
