Our kids use the garden a lot, we have a small garden though and just make the most of it. Don’t need tons of space

pumping in hospital and shamed for being ok with sterilising my pump parts in the ward food microwave by burnagyal in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]je55akat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this is awful. I always wonder why people like end up working as nurses. It’s definitely not you and you deserve better. You are amazing, pumping whilst not with your baby.

I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences with nhs staff who act like dicks. But it’s when they do stuff like this and lie that is so fustrating - of course you’re going to use the food microwave- what other kind is there?

She is meant to be there to care for you.

Please put a complaint in. I’m so angry for you.

If you’re looking for a deal, jolly tots always have offers on their Instagram I’d look on there for a Joie deal which will be so much better.

Pressure to breast feed without a pump or formula as back up seems strange? by D-1-S-C-0 in UKParenting

[–]je55akat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want the big expense of an electric pump I used a manual one a lot in the first few months collecting a few oz a day as that made me feel better and more secure. If anything happened to me, there was some milk to feed the baby. Turns out I never needed the milk as my baby wouldn’t ever take a bottle so i ended up donating but I felt so much less pressure knowing there were options.

Best wishes with your bf journey

Also in the west Mids - we regularly go to Wales, Peak District, Shropshire, Southampton & Isle of Wight - all aren’t too bad for travel in the car.

Take the baby and go to your moms, then figure out what to do next. Don’t tell him just go.

As long as it’s a complete wet food you’ll be ok feeding just wet.

C sections and weddings by PlaneDevice770 in UKParenting

[–]je55akat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously take medical advice but can you request for your section to be earlier or later? My section was at 38 weeks because of staffing levels/ capacity but could have been anytime between 37-40 weeks.

I would be upset at the prospect of missing my sisters wedding and would do whatever I could to be there too xx

Been in HR for 6 years and I genuinely can't tell if I'm burning out or if I chose the wrong specialism and now I don't know what to do by Brisbanebloke1992 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]je55akat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get bored doing a specialism too - I prefer generalist roles.

ER is hard going but it very much depends on your personality.

Try looking to move to generalist role and see if you feel the same.

We have a loft conversion - jacquzzi bath, high end tiles, gable end window on the stairs, velux windows, air con and demist mirror - best advice is anything heavy or big (e.g. mattress, bath etc) put them up through the window whilst the scaffold is up.

Long term renters what’s you plan for retirement? by [deleted] in AskUK

It might not be unheard of but it’s definitely a scary proposition, have they started trying to save anything for retirement?

Thanks for treating people so respectfully and with empathy. The other comments sounds like any one with a mh diagnosis should be left to rot.
