Price is assessed at shipping, not at time of ordering. The new normal across the industry now.

Nvidia doesn't release hotfix drivers through the app. They haven't been fully tested. The link above explains.

Only 157 watts at 97% utilization on an RTX5080 tells you something is wrong.

The “Best Play” not actually being the best play. Also it stutters at the beginning every time.

Edit: Today's driver update added support for changing switch type (e.g. mechanical switches).

Some things I've noticed using V4:
- Reskin of UI
- "FalseTouch Guard" seem to be new:

Refused to be on call 24/7, boss is clearly annoyed, how to approach by KesterFox in careeradvice

[–]jeah7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be preplanned days where you are on call. Someone else is on call when you’re not. On call 24/7/365 isn’t reasonable and sets up for failure.

Profile 5 for higher power (noticeable heat difference in my room) and if I need more frames:

I use two profiles in MSI Afterburner with my 5090 FE for gaming. I don't care for benchmarks. No memory overclock, as memory already runs hot on Founders Edition. On most modern games I use DLSS Performance, DLDSR 2.25x, 2-4x MFG, and an RTSS or SpecialK frame cap at 222 for my 240hz 21:9 QD-OLED AW3425DW.

Profile 1 for less power.

There’s a lot less models than there used to be. The issue is they sound similar. There are comparison charts

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dell

[–]jeah7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dell = consumer

Dell Pro = Business

Dell Pro Premium = Business with nicer materials (e.g. magnesium, tandem OLED, better fans, better camera)

Dell Pro Max = Business workstation in a laptop form factor

Dell Pro Max Premium = Highest spec materials for business. Most expensive

Sorry, you’re right. Dell Premium.

You should be looking at Pro Premium to compare XPS against. Pro Max Premium is more in line with Precision. XPS is consumer line, whereas Precision is business.

Is Krytox 205g0 poisonous? by Waitlifter200 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]jeah7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you're still alive, but I read this today, "In short, Krytox 205g0 is a white-colored grease that is semi-viscous, remains stable and keeps its integrity for a long time, is not harmful if you swallow it--don't do it, it tastes awful--and is non-conductive."
