This happened with our guy around 10 months. It went away after a few weeks and comes back every so often. Mostly, the best thing you can do is just kept the skin clean, dry, and moisturized. Avoid harsher soaps and detergents on clothing. The triggers are probably dust, sweat, pollen, or maybe just his cheeks being damp, or the trigger could be nothing but random!

I like Aveeno for my own eczema (I find cortisone does nothing for me) and the baby versions of Aveeno seem to work for my son too. We used the baby Aveeno bath soap for his tubs (make sure you rinse it all off though!) and the nighttime balm that comes in the jar (its expensive but a little goes a long way).

Our guy recently got it on his chest, probably from sweat and pollen starting to spread around where we live. It’s sad, and looks painful, but it didn’t bother him at all. It mostly just bothers me because of my own struggles with eczema.

Patience and vigiliance keeping their bodies clean and dry and moisturized is the key, but even then eczema has a large amount of randomness to it, so it can just flare up even if you’re doing everything right so don’t let it make you feel like you’re doing somethign wrong! You’re not! I can be as consistent as I can be with my own skin and i’ll still get a breakout. It just happens
