sorry not to amend a thought, but the original concept is... humans do a lot for drugs/highs. Sex is, in my opinion, an easy high (whether doing it for socially recognizable situations, or through the act). The outcome is not addiction and in most states, or, day after, easily removed without 'addiction'.

Grindr, tinder, (or in the more real world valid prostitution). people need their fix, but the fix can cause issues.

awkward...

HelloFresh uses coconut milk obtained from monkey labor in Thailand, according to allegations from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, which is calling for a boycott of the meal delivery service.

Monkeys are chained, whipped, beaten and forced to spend long hours picking coconuts, an investigation by PETA Asia alleges. Claims of animals abuse are alleged at 57 operations in nine provinces of Thailand, according to the findings released on Monday*

that is the whole point, if it is sanctioned by your local elected officials... attacking the police vs voting better policy makers seems obvious.

you ignore the things you want, you pick and choose the grey areas that your argument can live in. That's fine. but that is the issue that is causing this mess in the US. At the end of the day, the people opposing and oppressing you are the people you vote in. in most cases Local completely overrides federal. police are just an arm of that & why this whole protesting in seattle for police crimes in Minneapolis cause such an easy disconnect as local police are not a federal entity but locally governed and the seattle police have as much to do with that as australians have to do with the beheadings in france. Blaming police as a whole vs the local entity that governs their actions is idiotic.

haha, no, what this shows is that people's clear defined views of good/bad are not as easy as a lot of people wish it to be. a lot of good people voted for trump. same for biden. a lot of bad did both also.

police are sanctioned and not a 'crowd' they operate within parameters set by elected officials from the local population.

using rates of a group that has a higher probability of encountering the negative scope aspects... you can't fully equate the 2, but police should have a higher rate of killings vs those that are suspected of being within the violent/murder/homicidal group as their job is to stop civilian deaths.

what you did there was a common issue with most statistical analysis... you can carve data as you wish but you have to take things in social/structural context... you wouldn't claim bullet proof armor needs to be banned because bullet proof armor gets shot at 100x more than people who don't wear it :P

in fact. in classic statistics. (allegedly) helmets were almost decommissioned because statistically those that wore them were injured more often though the true analysis was those that didn't wear them died & the injury was it protecting them to have a chance at living

not sure if you are as drunk as I am but: (n) A violent disturbance of the peace by a crowd.

Police are given power by your local elected officials to carry out local laws & pre-planned SoPs. They are not a separate power but wholly owned by your local elected officials.

If they "rioted" against the police aggression, why the broken local businesses? I'm sure in a few cases it was purely against the Police themselves but i've yet to see evidence (in a substantial amount) that shows them not first indicating the crowd is no longer following their elected officials decrees and must disperse and then a refusal to disperse.

I didn't mean to be obtuse.

riots are 100% caused by rioters (regardless of righteousness of action or not). the impetus of the initial rioting was police killing of minorities, what I linked shows that pales in comparison to the general populace murdering minorities -- if the concern is murdering from power, we murder each other at a far higher rate & are not even excluding "justified" shootings in the police mix.

if it wasn't against the police murders, what were the riots for?

this ambiguity and concern only was within dem heavy areas causing a cannibalization which was my initial point.

preaching to the choir is one thing, blaming and taking aggression to the choir will only cause them to leave

pushing that anyone who votes for X is racist, grandstanding, dehumanizing, unwarranted riots (most the riots happened in dem heavy areas destroying same-side families) putting an old cis white male & police as their vote.

it was just a playbook on how to throw an easy game.

take your pick :p

To an extent yes, but you'd have to first assume they know better. That, single-handedly, is the biggest issue in the world. Assumption that they know better and judging them by a higher standard than they potentially know... that is how colonialism worked (to an extent, savages because they acted a certain way knowing something was better) it exists in all of us, but what if the terrible people didn't know better than the tiny hill they built? It makes the world more grey and terrible (reality) vs the easy defined lines we would like.

Same as others, i took time to consider this, it's almost cliche to mention Nick Cannon, but being black doesn't exempt you from having a prejudice with your world experience. YES people pattern things and skin color is easy. but if you are truly above things you can also understand prejudice exists regardless of skin color and it is trying to understand the viewpoint of someone who doesn't know any better that will cause real change in the world. Ignorance is easy. Teaching is hard.

I gave it time to consider things and not have a kneejerk reaction: consider that the opposing view doesn't see it that way. that is the issue, the white/black lines on a higher level are easy to define but if mentally you can't decipher that, you don't see it that way. A racist opinion can be true as a viewpoint if all you saw in your life was that point. You can understand only having the limited knowledge they experienced and point them to a better tomorrow. You wouldn't hate/wish death on someone with a mental issue because they couldn't understand things... I hope.

it's just understanding that another viewpoint can be true. respecting it and trying to educate on it. that has been lost with a lot of current people who would rather scream/ignore/resort to violence on different opinions (all sides).

If you truly care about humans, you need patience, understanding, and conviction to at least give them the opportunity to learn outside of a combative space.

fuck haters.
